Yep this pretty much sums it up and its been that way for awhile. Granted the refs we had last game actually didn't abide by this rule, thus why Columbus appropriately marched there way to the penalty box through out the third.
-
Figured if we were going to see some on ice mollusk action it'd be late game like this.

Wings decide to turn the switch back on.

Dear god, this ownage is amazing. Seriously the last 30 seconds of play personify how superior the Wings are to the BJ's in every way. Monster hit from Stuart, Commadore's dumb ass glides into our bench, then while he's venting his frustration taking himself out of the play gooning it up on Cleary Z rockets one in.
-
Damn I had the game on mute momentarily and was down reading from my study guide for tomorrow's test and I just had this feeling to look up at the TV and then Stuart BAM! Awesome legal clean hit. lol and now Commadore meets Babcock, wow we're clowning this team badly.

2 Minutes for being Holmstrom?
-
Love it when we're dogging on a guy's play in the GDT and he scores
-
BJ's looking good, too bad for them they couldn't do anything on the PP whith their momentum and are still losing. Most of their shots are unscreened, CLEARY SCORES!
-
Looked like a soft penalty to me, but lol@Kenny's jinx.
-
A couple more "lucky" stops by Osgood eh, Williams?
-
Amazing how easy that odd man rush was quashed.

Who are the Penguins? All I see on VS. is the Philadelphia Flyers playing the Pittsburgh Crosby's.

Franzen > Nash
-
Hossa's up next to get going in the goal department, I'd be a miracle if he's kept goalless again tonight.
-
Well there goes my prediction about the BJ's getting a firt time lead in the series and coming out on fire Somehow I really don't mind.
-
Wings win 4-2 and for the first time in the series trail after Columbus cores in the first but we go on to net 3 unanswered goals (Franzen, Hossa, Datsyuk), before the BJ's bring it within one by finally converting a PP. All is for naught though as Flipper gets the wings back up by two in the game's waning minutes. What I'm more curious to see tonight however, is if Columbus fans can bring themselves to say "Go Blue!"

Take a look at a regular season game and a playoff game in every other major sport and you'll notice almost no difference, yet in hockey the playoff atmosphere is immediately evident. This message sending you reference is just one of the many factors that rule into this truth and I think its a wonderful thing, as well as part of what makes the Stanley Cup Playoffs the greatest post season in all of sports.

Actually bummed out by the Sharks choking like this, was really looking forward to a potential semi-final between us and them. That and I can't stand the ducks, pretty much like to see any team beat them, though at least I get to see Claude Lemieux lose again and that's always refreshing.

Anyone else see UFC 97? Definitely one of the crappier PPV MMA cards I've ever seen. Despite being a pretty solid card with a lot of good undercard fights the main event was the worst title bout I have ever seen in MMA. 25 minutes of Anderson Silva fighting not to lose, lacking any aggressiveness, and only looking to counter, while Leites unleashed the almighty BJJ butt flop technique over and over again. Only had one great fight and that was Stout/Wiman, though I feel Wiman got robbed thus tainting it, not too mention it was an undercard fight to begin with. Cane/Cantwell was good, but never even came close to being stopped, and the Shogun/Liddell fight was kind of depressing and short lived, though I'm proud for Shogun who might finally be back in top shape and poised for a great run at the LHW division.

What a fun article to revisit, please Hitchcock, keep on cheating! It really equalized things last night for your team.

Good to see the construction cones beating the Pittsburgh Crosby's thus far, the physical play has also been amazing.

Columbus Columnist: Osgood is Wings' Weak Link
Vincanni replied to HockeytownRules19's topic in General
With the way he's been playing the Wings must a chain stronger than what they where using in that monster truck tug-o-war competition they where doing prior to the Montreal/Boston game on Versus. -
Their last game went into OT and the pens had to tie it up in the last few minutes on a BS powerplay, so I'd definitely give us the nod over them by a wide margin since we've yet to trail a single second in our series. I'd actually say outside of us, Vancouver has looked the next best.

Is it fair to say the Wings have been the best looking team so far this playoffs?
-
Clearly the wings are just coasting to get this one over with, maybe exhaust Mason a bit more with shots from the blueline, but that should be it. Meanwhile the BJ's are gonna likely be wasting their energy in this lost cause to at least break the shutout.
