It was surely an appropriate response to what will forever be referred to by historians as the Great Tennessee Embarrassment of 2009. It was particularly sweet to see Downey get fan-voted as player of the game too.

I missed the whole damn fight, left the room and walked in at around the 2 minute mark of that video and promptly yelled a few choice four-letter pieces of vocabulary. Who'd have thought a Wing would be in what I would consider to be one of the top fights of the year?

God dammit! I went out of the room for a couple minutes to find a highlighter for some school work I'm trying to study, and after having a hell of a time finding one I come back to see Downey being escorted to the penalty box with the crowd absolutely roaring.

Grapes is more an object of curiosity and a mascot than a serious analyst. While entertaining you have to realize that ultimately he's just an uneducated, senile racist, who serves as a terrible representation of what real Canadians are like. People shouldn't take him too seriously.

It seems to be a hallmark of classless dips*** fans to constantly berate the opposition yet never chant for your own team. Exclusing those retarded whistles which are the worst gimmick in professional sports today, how many "let's go etc." or "Rinne Rinne" chants have you heard tonight, or hell AT ALL in Ten-uh-see?

There should be a Lilja hattrick. 1. Take a dumb penalty. 2. Lose a fight caused by whatever you did to get that penalty. 3. Have the opposing team score on aforementioned powerplay. I know the last part is more circumstantial than anything, but i think it works out well.

By all rules of physics and common sense that was obviously a goal, but I can't argue the call since there was quite literally zero visual evidence showing the puck in the net and without that you have to go with the initial call.

That period could not have ended fast enough, probably the worst 10 minutes of hockey I have ever seen the Red Wings play and almost everyone is to blame.
