Went into listening tot hat thinking it'd be bad, but it was actually really funny. Dubbed bad enough to actually make it funnier than a shockingly good job, now we get to wait around until we get the obligatory PC response.

I liked last years hat better, though as previously mentioned white hats kind of suck when you're trying to keep them clean, gray isn't a whole lot better.

The plus side: Refs only favor prolonging a series so the Pens will be in for a surprise when half o what they called defense tonight ends up putting their sorry asses in the box as we destroy them in game 7.

Reffing has been as vomit inducing as I predicted, refs swallow the whistle and call nothing the moment the Wings need momentum. The Dats/Z/Cleary line would be a lot more effective if the rules of hockey applied to the means at which the Penguins have to defend them.

While miles from a dominant period, I'm actually happy with the effort and it being 0-0. You tell me the Pens will outshoot us 12-3 and have 2 PPs to our 0 and I'd be worried, but seeing as its a scorless game, advantage = Red Wings. Also Pens can shoot their unscreened far away shots all they want, as long as our team D flushes out any secondary scoring chances they'll do nothing except for maybe get a goal on a lucky bounce. P.S. Datsyuk + Zetterberg = Far better than anything the Penguins can throw out there.

Yet again the far ref makes the call. Looked accidental to me, but I'll need to see a replay, either way I get the feeling it was a terrible call since the closer referee let it go.

Was it "None Point's" version because I thought they did a really good cover.

Seems customary we get a softy early in every game, also seems when we kill it things bode extremely well for us.

Surely he's not going to bother showing up for a game the refs are already going to blow for us. I shouldn't be clueing you all in on this, but I wrapped my computer in tinfoil so the telepaths at the FBI won't be able to uncover the source of my insight.

The Bobby Orr trophy is the only addition I would actually support them adding as a major award. Something I wouldn't mine seeing in a Messier award like capacity would be an arena award for best Ice, though that could be hard to properly tabulate due to some ice surfaces intentionally being mucked up to slow down opposing teams, unless you wanted to include that factor as part of the judging.

If the Wings win tomorrow, Malkin is still below Osgood, Zetterberg and Cleary in my book and about even with Lidstrom.

I usually hate "* sucks" chants, but the timing on this one was perfect, completely appropriate, and very well deserved. You have far and away the most over exposed athlete in the NHL being shoved down your throat and filatted by every national broadcaster on a nauseatingly frequent basis. Then he goes pointless yet again without even making a dent in that game. Not too mention he's a freaking captain who's suppose to set an example, not throw a temper on the NHL's biggest stage 10 feet in front of an official by attempting to injure (or at least hurt) arguably our best skater. So while he's stewing there in the box wallowing in his dirty diaper, never has a more appropriate "* sucks" chant began at the Joe in some time. Bravo audience!
