Considering Z's history with his back, I'd much rather prefer he rest. Also I actually like the idea of having a representative for each team even if its just a ploy to maximize viewership by having a recognizable face on the team no matter how cloistered the viewer or which market they stem from. However, with the joke that is unlimited online/cellphone fan balloting for the starting line up getting undeserved players spots on the team on top of this notion, they are really watering down the talent in this game and damaging already waning interest in to what is essentially a meaningless game.

Always thought the guy was a turd, now he's just a bigger one. Also, didn't Tootoo allegedly bite Tyler Wright awhile back? If so Ruutu and Tootoo need to start some fruity club together.

Burke seems infatuated with this guy, first in Vancouver, then in Anaheim, now with Toronto? I bet if Burke had a time machine he'd go back to his glorious reign as GM of the Whalers and try to wing a trade for May.

Well that was lame. Granted I think Sammy would be a bigger ***** had he started throwing with the visor on, but still that was incredibly lame. I know we don't need it and it correlates next to nothing with wins, but for the sake of the fans I'd like to see some Aaron Downey this year.

If I was a major record label recording artist, I would make a song called "This ref is a dumbass" just in the hopes that it would be played during hockey games during calls like that.

Anyone else think it'd be poetic justice if one of these undeserving starters were injured in the games opening minute? I really hope they do away with this fan voting BS, basically the team with the biggest contingent of losers with nothing to do but vote over and over with their time win. At the very least limit votes to one per person.

Datsyuks shoot out goal just made ESPN's top plays at number 6 I believe. Should have been higher but by rule any play that wins a football/basketball game it gets dibs over anything hockey.

Great idea except one major problem, Parking. Due to the snow its unlikely to expect as many make-shift grass lots for the Big House, though with enough effort it could easily be done. What might be a better idea is to follow the mold of the Michigan/Michigan State "Cold War" and play it in East Lansing, but as its been previously stated I doubt they'll give us another Winter Classic so soon.

Actually I'm mostly a Crosby loving media hater with a smidgen of Crosby hater hater who only hates the Crosby haters who hate without being somewhat rational. Gonna stop now before this gets more confusing.

On the plus side for Chicago, Coach Q is a good choice since they're starved for a playoff birth and he can easily get them there. Also considering Chicago's strong play against us last year I'd have thought the match up deficiency against us to lack some, glad to see that wasn't entirely true.

I'm thinking Franzen since he should come cheaper and is more of what we need serving as a better power forward. Also home grown talent > Free agent.
