Holy Crap, Franzen makes his interviewer look like a toddler.

Fixed.

I think Kane was just trying to one-up Lebda in the obvious/dumb penalty department.
-
Lmao@Kane, holy crap what a retard
-
That was fun, absolutely brutal crosscheck by Lebda. Sure someone's gonna feel that at Wrigley, still dumb as hell.

While the Wings obviously didn't dominate this period, it is the perfect type of period to have. They out play us and we end up with the lead, the momentum and hopefully some PP karma. Considering they're a 1st period team things should bode well for us as long as we stay vigilant. Also while I definitely can't say I miss him on the ice, its too bad Kane got inured. Monster hit by Cleary and I was hoping he just got the wind knocked out of him, but after seeing his ankle get twisted I realized it was more a freak accident and I hope he gets better soon., preferably returning this game.

While yes the calls were crap I'm sure we'll get some PPs on bogus calls as well. The good thing about crappy reffing is that it rarely discriminates... unless you have the lead or are named Dan O'Halloran. Speaking of which PP coming up except that was obviously a penalty, too bad we can't at least get away with cheap shots like that for our PIMs.

Eh, I was gonna say a soft tripping call, but what the hell was that? Homer has the penalty???
-
Willing to bet it might have something to do with how the players perform

As if we need another reason to want to crush San Jose

This signing really blows. I rather like the Sharks, definitely one of my favorite teams besides the Wings and I can't stomach rooting for that bastard. Hope his comeback crashes and burns worse than a derailed train careening into a nitroglycerin plant situated across the street from a cineplex exclusively designed to show nothing but Delgo all year round. -
Tootoo is an enormous D-bag. Granted I'm sure he's incredibly fun to root for if you were a Nashville fan, of course what else does a Nashville fan really have to root for again besides making that mythic leap to the 2nd round of the playoffs? As for making the game more exciting overall; while true, that's like saying the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand made Europe a more exciting place.

Pretty sure Rick Astley was voted "Best Act Ever" in accordance to his internet votes for this years MTV Europe Music Awards, also the whole "Vote for Rory" fiasco made a 7th D-man for the Canucks one of the top vote getters in the entire NHL for the All-Star game in due part to a joke campaign. San Jose also nearly swept the voting that year due to voting stations at the stadium. The number of these votes means nothing and all internet voting campaigns are inherently prone to corruption and mockery. I do appreciate your enthusiasm though and we need more legit votes.

That's terrible news. I was actually just talking about her a few weeks ago mentioning how I hadn't seen her in awhile and how depressing it'd be when it was finally her time. Glad she was able to see the Wings win the cup once more as well as live such a full life, she will be missed. R.I.P.

Damn, after reading all that I definitely have to agree, seems the offensive Defensemen was immensely underrated at the time. Could also be some sort of Red Wing dynasty curse where for some reason or another an integral part of each team is left from the banners, with this one's possibly being Fedorov assuming the collective sentiment towards him subsides. Granted most casual fans I know still practically hate the guy.

Can't be too upset about him missing tonight's game with the Winter Classic pending further on in the week. Also beats the heck out of warm weather postponing the game (thank god that ended), granted that would take him a step closer to 100%.

I don't like how this one looks for us at all, Chicago has been red hot and the Wings, well not so much. Sans Lidstrom and the Hawks playing their best hockey so far this season I predict trouble for tonight. Of course I'll always have the San Jose game to fall back on when such doubts are present. Buuuuut for now, Hawks win 4-3 in OT, but Wings get them back at Wrigley.

This thread needs more videos and less bickering. I dove into this thread thinking that based on the fist page its going to kick ass, boy I was wrong. This is a hard judgment call to make based on the inherent bias of the judging criteria, much like fights, though with less a clear cut winner. Granted I feel Stuart's stepped up his hits from what was a good effort last year into something great this year. That alone should be commended and I feel he's the best hitter for the Wings so far, not the best in the league. However, I do have him winning hit of the year based on my subjective reasoning as a Wings fan, as well as him destroying Tanguay with nothing to absorb the impact.
-
While he'd without a doubt make us a better team, I'd actually be pissed to see him in a winged wheel. Maybe over the course of a season I could learn to tolerate and potentially like the guy, especially with some proper playoff heroics. I would much rather have a good shot at winning the cup without Pronger as we do now, than be a guaranteed lock to win the cup with him in our roster.

Unless you're a neoteric and/or a bandwagon fan and most likely missed the rivalry days, you have zero business wearing an Avs jersey. I really have no problems with the team anymore, but the anathema remains. While I don't root against them I still find myself unable to root for them and I would never wear, buy, or own an Avs jersey.

Yet still is owned by 0% of the league.

The Hoss rides again!

Oh how my excitement fades when I see that the puck carrier on an odd man rush for us is Kopecky. Edit: Or was that Maltby? Same difference really.
-
Wow, Ken Daniels startled me there, that goal came from no where.
-
An A for distance, a D for activity, but not bad at all and good to see mac drop the gloves out there.

Feels like we're just getting out of the all-star break. Hope the Wings play well-rested rather than rusty and lethargic. Seeing as to how NJ is without Marty this game could be a crapshoot, but no matter what way you cut it it benefits us. I'm hoping our 5-on-5 play can match our special teams as of late and weactually hold down the lead rather from come back in the 3rd. I'm seeing 4-1 Wings.
