Actually to be fair to Sundin I feel this retirement fiasco has mostly been the media's fault. I even remember seeing "Sundin to Canucks" as a front page headline on yahoo.ca, no the sports section but the main front page.

I seriously could not care any less. Claude Lemieux's return interests me more than this circus Sundin's dragged the media through all summer long.

Wow, talk about fortune's favor here. We score within the first 5 seconds I begin listening.

Fitting then that the Stanley Cup belongs to Michigan since we created the first professional Hockey league. However, yeah these polls are pretty pointless. I remember last year we got bumped in a logo contest by the Vancouver logo because of a strong online campaign to propel the Orca 'C' into the finals.

The Canadien logo get votes solely on reputation. Their logo while classic and a good example of simplistic quality, it's above average at best. Wings logo is far superior in design.

Not an expectional list in the least, I'm a huge Z fan but I think making him number one in the league might be a bit presumuous. Not too mention I don't see Rafalski's name anywhere.

What I like best about that is that after he's taken down when the guys shoots low on him, he easily sweeps him onto his back. It takes a lot of raw strength to make something like that look easy, he must be strong as an ox.

While I don't actually wanna see this win I can't help but laugh my ass off at the very idea of that actually winning.

This parallel would cease to be had Hoss gone to any team other than the one that womped his former organization out of the finals, and this blogger is just butthurt he didn't take Edmonton's 9 million offer. Pen fans have no right to complain however, he was a rental player and they only offered him 7 million a year.

I'm already referring to him as "The Hoss" or just simply Hos.

If they were in any other division in the West I'd actually pick them to sneak into the 8th spot, but in the Pacific I just don't see it happening next year even though they're definitely on the rise.

Wouldn't that just further the Dallas Drake comparison? I seem to recall a Mr. Drake getting a suspension for injuring Lebda a year prior to us signing him.

FACT: Lidstrom is more Norris than Chuck Norris!

In my endeavors to chronicle everything I can from this years Stanley Cup victory one gaping vacuity remains, that being a copy of the local radio broadcast. For those unaware Ken Kal fell under the influence of laryngitis and thus was unable to call the game, though Ken Daniels stepped into replace him. However, after the final whistle was called Daniels passed his headset to Kal and let him finish the last 20 seconds or so left in the game. They've been playing clips of it all day on 97.1 the Ticket and it's truly captivating. Seriously, hearing his weakened voice crackle and nearly give out as he excitedly yells sent gave me goose bumps as awkward as it sounded. I would absolutely love to have an audio clip of this, though the entire game would be preferable. Does anyone know were I might be able to find either?
