Odd how many of you place Lidstrom #1 or #2 and yet not another defense men on the list. Forwards are always so ridiculously overrated compared to the efforts of the defense men.

Try listening to 97.1, it's talk radio and they occasionally mention the Wings, though mostly when something goes wrong as in we start losing or the Ribeiro incident. Of course a good 95% of the time they're just bitching about how bad the Tigers are this year and what's wrong with them, seriously I listen to this station at work and that has been the number one topic since Tiger's lost game 1. As for 95.5, it primarily plays terrible pop hip-hop music so I'm somehow not surprised they're not mentioning the Wings that much sadly.

Great post and I agree with most everything as well as the FO% observation, which I honestly can't believe has not been discussed more. I guarantee though the moment we go up in the series it'll be brought to light and talked about constantly.

Agreed. No disrespect to Pitt but I always felt unless a barrage of freak injuries hit, the winner between Dallas and Detroit would have beat Pitt in a good 6 games or so.

Curious to get a Dallas fans opinion on this but what was the reason behind this loss? Game 1 was apparently the refs, were the 4OT game was vehemently avoided as an excuse by the players. However, once they started winning everyone began saying the 4OT exhaustion finally wore off and now this was the real Dallas team. Then tonight, a game that if not for the refs calling only one team for penalties could have been worse than Pitt's 6-0 Philly shellacking. So what is it, the 4OT hangover decided to skip a couple games and show up tonight?

Not that I'm complaining, but so far without a doubt the most nerve wracking part of this game was the goal review on Draper's goal. This is how an elimination game should be played!

It's a pity Dallas is the only team allowed to play physical right now, I would love to see Morrow bloodied up somehow.

I have never seen a more blatant example of refs being unfair to force drama. This is pathetic, but then again had we been given competent reffing this series would have been over in game 4. Clearly there have been two sets of rules out there since we took the 2-0 lead.
