Refs looking like they could crawel back into this one, errr Stars... same difference.
-
Refs doing all that is humanly possible to slant this game.
-
We need to follow the Penguins example of how to close out a freaking series, but more important than anything we need to score first. So far this has shaped every game in this series.
-
Complete toss up between "Make all goals/non-goals reviewable" and "Eliminate instigator penalty." Making all goals reviewable would have a bigger impact and as a whole be more important, but no rule is more worthless in hockey than the instigator rule.
-
I agree, though Flyer fans would make you believe he is in fact the anti-christ. Also add booing everything from icing calls to not giving the Flyers a PP every time one of them is defended successfully to the list.
-
If there is indeed a conspiracy bias I believe this to be the most likely scenario.
-
For an instance let's make believe a Flyers fan is trying to rip off our tradition, does this give us the leeway to act like Philly? We could start chants of "A-hole," "BS," and "F@#* 'random players name,'" as well as flick off opposing players through the glass and blow an opposing player's complaint out of proportion and try to label them the "Whiniest *****" in the history of the NHL ala Crosby.
-
Nope, definitely missed the second part there and I'm too damn proud to change it now But yeah, as I suggested my thoughts line up with your second thought.
-
If Flyer fans want to toss something out on the ice that is more reminiscent of their fan base (the majority of them anyways) they could always toss out a soiled diaper. I think that could really catch on.
-
What makes you so sure it was a Philly fan who threw it? I guarantee it was flung by a Wings fan.
-
From my understanding it has nothing to do with just merely being present within the crease and pertains to impeding the movement of the goalie while inside the crease. In effect both goals should have counted.
-
Are you insinuating the Stars stole every game in the second round from a better team? Granted I credit Dallas with a good and valid victory tonight, goalie interference BS aside. They were miles away from dominant but took advantage of the few breaks they got late in the game and Turco was amazing. Though as a whole I believe they looked better last game, tonight if anything the Wings looked worse.
-
Agreed, I'm going to root for a team that's on the express way to success, come on Philly take me to the cup!
-
From the recap... That should be in someone's signature
-
First line of the recap reads... http://sports.yahoo.com/nhl/recap?gid=2008051409 At least we're not the only ones who get it.
-
Also have Cleary stress test his sticks better prior to going on the PK, talk about a bad break for Danny boy.
-
As much as i hate blaming third parties, it seems this playoofs those who ***** and whine get their way so I'm glad it was said and in a discrete but truthful manner. What pisses me off the most about this is I'll have to miss Saturday's game.

The Holmstrom goal was an absolute embarrassment and O'Halloran should never see another game in the playoffs, but I have to give Dallas credit. Turco stood on his head for his team and they were good when they had to be down the stretch despite being on their heels, and in the end it was more than a 1-goal game so Dallas truly did beat us. Despite having so many of our players off tonight I think there's a good lesson in this lose that we're going to have to face adversity come the SCF so we might as well get used to making adjustments now before that happens. Also I'm hoping this cements O'Halloran out of the SCF as well.
-
O'Halloran is and always has been a worthless hack, he resume speaks for itself. If not fired I'd like to see him barred from the playoffs, I have no idea why he's still i the mix right now. He is a god damn Red Wing assassin!
-
Probably true, it happens all the damn time though in Hockey. Once again I reiterate Osgood's poke was only deemed so bad because Ribeiro PMS-raged on him afterwards. Had the whole ordeal not been magnified and blown out of proportion few would have cared.
-
Well at least it looks like we cant entirely blame this on the refs. Looks like the better team occasionally loses.
-
Ha ha ha Stuart, man this game is a joke.

Uuuugh

Our 5 on 5 is starting to look better than our PP.... Waiting for that coincodental proved me wrong moment now.
