Glad to see Madano back ...unless of course he ties it up.

Easily some of the worse ice conditions I've seen this decade. The game is very noticably slower, and just in the past 5 minutes I've seen 4 people slip on nothing.

Do we just not play the first 5 minutes of a period anymore. N/m fluke goal, get it back guys.

Just a few notes so far on the game: - Probably our worse looking first yet we still have the lead so I'm not coplaining, and that's a great sign for us. - This game looks noticibly slower and sloppier, I'm thinking the ice condition is somewhat to blame for this. - Anyone else feel that the Lidstrom's leg deflection would have went in if we were playing Nashville? - Bad break for us, on a no-call with Chelli's stick catching Madano in the face, they score on the same shift moments later. - Is it just me or is Morrow playing like all of our sticks are on fire and he's trying to put them out with his body? Twice now I've seen him dive to the ice (selling a call?) and on one of our player's sticks, including Lebda's on their only goal.

It'll be Osgood's fault most likely, or whoever the defense men guarding Ribeiro is. That's how we roll, we don't blame conspiracies our third party interference, we just lump the blame on one player and make him our scapegoat with most of the time that player being the goalie

Series is already 2-0 and we beat them in the regular season with Richards, heck they've yet to beat us with Richards in the line up, but yeah I still agree with what you're getting at no matter how illogical it'll be. Of course at this point in the season sometimes taking a practice off is better that practicing just due to fatigue.

My guess is they'll come down harder on Turco's BS considering how last game ended and he gives us a couple powerplays. Either way it's going to be very close and if the Wings are to lose one this seems the most likely culprit. Hope I'm wrong with my prediction but, Dallas 3 Detroit 2.

Don't get me wrong, I believe what Osgood did was wrong (even though I think the most embarrassing aspect of his actions was how badly he embellished the slash) I just wish we had a more consistent committee in charge of disciplinary action. If Hasek or Iginla can butt-end without being fined, I don't feel Osgood should be fined either. I think the whole ordeal is being blown out of proportion, hell I don't even know what Ott or Draper did that deserves a fine.

Could have? Sure, but very unlikely. As previously stated Hasek's done the same thing for us and it didn't yield a penalty let alone a fine, and have we forgotten what Iginla did to Schneids last year? That had obvious intent and nothing was done about it in terms of a fine. While subjective in nature and unable to be factually proven as I'm no seer, I feel the fining of Ozzie was ludicrous, Turco alone did worse actions that game.

Aside from pure common sense in the notion that goalies do worse things all the time, Hasek did the exact same thing last year and no stink was raised about it based on the fact that whom he did it to didn't throw a hissy fit. The fine was nothing more than a means to appease both ends of the argument.

What bothers me most about this is the fact that had Ribeiro not retaliated with a 2-handed tomahawk slash, Ozzie wouldn't have been fined and in all honesty what sense does that make? Had Flip or Homer tomahawked Turco and been fined it'd have retroactively made what he did worse and that is just pure retardation. Oh well, with the way Ribeiro's been playing the worst punishment he could face is to continue playing. Hopefully this fires up our team some and gives us further motivation to send these bastards golfing.

Pathetic. I can understand not suspending that sack of s***, but fining Osgood for a 2 minute penalty is a complete joke. Never one to wish injury on another player but few things could happen to Ribeiro that would make me sad.

Sums up my thoughts exactly. There should be no debate about selling the call or whether or not it was in retaliation, there is no place in the game for what Ribeiro did and he should suffer some consequence for it.

I see a 1-game suspension and a beat down in game four following a swift exit from the WCF. Also... Curious, but if Osgood's actions justified Ribeiro's reaction what should Homer have been able to do to Turco for half of the s*** he gave him? I'm guessing criminal homicide.
