I think we're looking pretty damn good so far, a couple of bad shuifts were they really put the pressure on us but for the most part we played better that period. Add in that the power play differential is currently greatly in your favor and it's make the fact that we've been the better team so far even sweeter.

Too bad this isn't the first round were they were calling everything goalie interference. Half the Ducks team could be in the box by now.

This far into the playoffs everyone is either returning from injury or hurt in some way shape or form. The idea is to have the heart to push through those injuries or have enough talent beforehand to were you can afford to play at 80-90%.

I proposed this idea previously but what's Don Cherry's reaction going to be if the Sens win the cup? They'll return the cup to Canada but with a European captain for the first time. Personally I'm loving the very idea of this and would be happy to see it go down even if it means Detroit doesn't win the cup. Easily the second best outcome I could envision.

Anyone else in love with the idea of the cup coming back to Canada on a team with the first European captain to win it? I'm hoping we get that honor with Lidstrom of course but this would at least be a very interesting consolation and I'll definitely be rooting for them if something happens and we fall apart in this series against the ducks.

I will say this was Hasek's worse game of the playoffs and that's largely why we lost, however I think we can all recall how he did after his last 4 goals against game.

Hmmm well this bites, on the plus side we're clearly the better team in this series, Anaheim only seems to get worse as we keep getting better.

I'm very much pro-Hasek but he is far and away the worse player on either team right now and doing horrendous. Granted he's carried up through previous victories so I'm not that sour, but he's been the difference maker so far this game and in a baaad way. Of course I know how Dom plays and pulling him would be a mistake, he's a harsher critic of himself than anyone and will only get better. Give him an intermission to collect himself and I'll expect him to close the door.

I'll say Bertuzzi, he's been getting better and better each game in this series. He'll also benefit from Pronger's absence likely more than anyone as they'll lack any reliable means to deal with his size and skill.

I know we crushed them last game and they'll be without Pronger but I always get bad feelings when it seems we encounter a game we supposedly should win. All I want is a solid 60 minutes, a clean game, and a win. 1 goal, 8 goals I don't really care what the difference is as long as by the time I go to bed tomorrow I can say both semi final series are at 3-1. Oh and for all Wing fan board members, be sure to make tons of noise! I loved being able to hear cheers after our goals last game.

I publicly stated I wanted both teams as healthy as possible for each game this series. I also wished him a speedy recovery back when he missed his first game and before it was declared that his season was over. Also I recall when he missed his first game most people were glad since it'd help us out a bit as fans of the Wings but we hoped it to be nothing serious. Besides I'm sure most of us don't want to rely on injuries of all things to help us out.
