I've lost a ton of respect from the Ducks fan base because of this incident. Not blasting every fan but the fact that there are people showing support for a questionable elbow from behind to the head of a player into the boards who was already being nailed by another player is enough to sap credibility from anyone. Not too mention Pronger's done crap like this before.
-
Way to show some class by growing a pair of balls and finally giving this dick head a suspension.
-
Coming home from work and seeing this really makes my day, I'm happy to see some action and actually feel optimistic about a suspension. Some people even mentioning the possibility of two games.
-
I'd rather not see the Ducks bad Karma get sucked up by Getzlaf and I hope he's fine.
-
Bet we'll get a decent visiting applause at the end of this one, I'm sure most of the fans left are Wing fans.
-
Anaheim is just really competitive, they don't want Calgary being the team with the single biggest melt down against us thus all the bone headed penalties.
-
Now if Homer got the hat trick, someone named Hasek did something I won't mention and both Perry and Pronger collide face first into one another. This would be the best game ever.
-
Seeing homer back on the ice means more too me than anything, we get the win and don't have to embaress ourselves to do so. Homer is a warrior!
-
You know I'd trade in seeing Homer taking the ice in the third and being perfectly alright over Pronger getting knocked out cold with a clean hit.
-
You know how low the Ducks have sunk when Engblom says it wasn't properly penalized.
-
Someone needs to follow Pronger into an alley when he comes back to Detroit and smash his head in with Lidstrom's Norris trophy from last year. Then again on the golf course with the one Lidstrom's gonna win this year.
-
I'm looking forward to hearing the Boo's from our fans when s*** bag touches the puck in Game 5. Too bad that's likely all he'll end up getting.
-
Pronger's hit looked just as dirty if not worse, way to applaud too audience. s*** bag fans for a s*** bag team.
-
Ugh ******* goons.
-
I credit the Refs here for showing no favorites, despite being down 4-0 they're not giving Anaheim charity calls and showing them who's boss by not swallowing the whistle, in case they try to goon it up. Seems one-sided in our favor but we have all the momentum in this game thus why we're getting all the power plays. Edit: One stupid typo.
-
Hard to imagine any other result at this moment, but I've seen crazier things happen.
-
Did anyone else just hear the sound of a toilet flushing? I think someone's credibility just went down the drain Anaheim was picked by most pro analyzers to win the West and have yet to be an underdog in a series.
-
Bah who cares about those guys. Scott Niedermayer soon to be second time in a row Norris runner-up was on the ice too and he's the best player in professional sports along with Pronger. Engblom told me so! Thankfully the Lions season hasn't started yet.

Well he definitely blew the whistle and watching the play it looked like he did it at about the same time the puck went in. Of course even if it was before hand no video evidence of it existed at the time of review therefore it cannot be considered irrefutable, the puck however did go into the net and that was refutable. Add that to the fact that the push in couldn't have been reviewed and well we just got hosed pretty badly. So in essence after review the only fair thing to do was call it a goal unfortunately for us. We more or less got screwed over by the system, not so much the ducks or the refs. Wings fans are said to travel better then any other American team, of course that is limited to arena's in the states. The Calgary series was pretty brutal and our fan support drops off tremendously once you cross the border. Still I'm willing to bet we have more fans in Canada then any other US team.

This year is so far boasting the best conference finals match ups I've seen in years. I'm excited to see how this one unfolds. However this could easily be a post in the GDT now couldn't it? I was wondering the same, I've heard from Duck fans it's a little underwhelming, some even said there's almost as many WIng fans as Ducks fans in the arena. I expect that to be hyperbolized but would be curious to here your take on it (Rpberto who, that is)
-
Too be fair the VS crew acknowledged a push in as did CBC, but I'm over it. Had that goal not counted who knows what could have transpired. Anaheim probably would have gotten some powerplay chances to even it up, maybe we could have scored again. Really in the effects of the chaos theory for all we know Hasek could have ripped his groin trying to make a save with Anaheim pushing their hardest to tie it up. The series is tied up and nothing is going to change that except game 3.
-
It wasn't a goal that's for sure but the Ducks played a great game against us and for the most part were the better team 5-on-5 though not by a long shot. However, Wings dominated special teams of course. Really this game was like the last, a coin-flip in either direction to declare a winner. It's going to be a great series and I feel what is going to make or break this series as a whole is whether the Wings figure out the Ducks or not, much like the San Jose series. Plays like this are one in a million, I wouldn't be so discouraged as to say it'll mean anything in the long haul
-
If only Hasek had Jiggy's chest protector, if only. Oh well, series tied up, I'm expecting this to be 2-2 coming back to the Joe. San Jose only becamse easier to beat for us so I'm hoping for the same from the ducks and their shortened bench. Not even going to bother how hasek was pushed into the net, it was clear as day and the goal shouldn't have counted. Even the most homeristic Ducks fan can see that, and if they can't they're clueless. Not worth talking to at all. But it counted and it was a good effort, not too mention these games have been close enough that little nuances like that are going to make or break a game. Hasek's gonna rebound in a couple of days and not even air will pass through the net so help me. We're going split this in Anaheim and once again obtain the series lead in game 5.

Seems like this PP has been 5 minutes at least. Yet it's not even half over with yet =/
