Forget the PBR, I think Cleary found the toughest 8 seconds if sports right there. As for Langkow I think I heard knews of him pushing a cripple down a flight of stairs later on that night.
-
Figured we could use one of these, anyways Ducks are up 1-0 with Luongo pulling a Hasek.
-
Talk about making the most of 5 seconds, good finish to a good game. I was very pleased with the quality of today's games, Rangers/Sabres especially.
-
And so the year of the non-existant powerplay continues for the 07 playoffs. Of course Vancouver has a PP% of 6 and the Ducks are the best PKers.
-
Been fairly even so far, Canuck's looking to go on a 5-3 and both ducks in the box are Neidermayer and Pronger to boot
-
Okay let me rephrase that, he's been better than he was in the regular season.
-
Bert played pretty well with Zetterberg and Datsyuk and can pull of Homer's routine a hell of a lot better than Sammy. It's a no-brainer in my opinion. Sammy's been pretty good on our lower lines anyways, why mess that up.

We need Homer more than anyone right now, glad to see he's eying a game 4 return.
-
Looks like we might have a series on our hands, way to go Rangers, you actually registered more hits than shots on goal in the process too.

Happy B-day babs. On a side note, how often is it that a coach has a player on his team older than he is?
-
This is getting pretty damn exciting.
-
At least he's consistent.

That would be awesome Edit: typo

Let's see if Hull can get through this re-cap without looking like an ass, 50 bucks says he fails.
-
And so we see another 2OT second round game, wonder if this one will end as quickly as the others.
-
Kinda hard to root for one team over the other as my two favorite Eastern franchises are playing against one another but I don't wanna see a short series thus I'm rooting for the Rangers in this game. Besides they really do deserve it.
-
Might just be my imagination too but it seems Miller's been getting some charity whistles in those jam piles near the crease. Of course all of that is moot when you consider this game should be over 2-1 Rangers.
-
Win or lose I'd be pissed if I were a huge Rangers fan, this game's been obviously slated in Buffalo's favor.
-
Ooo I wouldn't have said that.

Is it just me or do a lot of players in these mock ups look happy that sharks are eating them?

Didn't really cash in my opinion on this game yet as we've hit the point of the playoffs were I start developing eccentric little superstitions. My current one's involve me staying out of the GDT and wearing my wings hat as much as possible between games. If we win the next game I'll likely end up adding something else too, anyways. We were absolutely man-handled early on in this game, I had to avert my attention into other things to keep myself from punching my television set. I was so pumped going into this game and to have them score on that deflection 30 seconds into the game felt like someone smashed me in the gut. I won't lie I went into panic mode after the second goal, thought that we were gonna be lucky to win a single game this series. Thankfully we got a bit better as the period went on and were a whole new animal the rest of the game, it was like a prayer of mine was answered when Zets ended up getting a bounce off of Nabby's foot into the net. The energy in the Joe tripled after that too, it was like a funeral beforehand. The way things were going I had hard time watching every moment of the game so I stepped out intermittently into my garage to work out a bit. Especially when the Sharks went on the power play, so at the start of the third I was outside doing criss-crosses on my speed rope when I heard one of my neighbors from a few houses down shout out a celebratory "YEAH!!!" Getting the hunch it might of had something to do with the game I rushed back indoors to catch a replay of Cleary's short hander. After that I was so pumped a crowbar couldn't have pried me from my TV. When Dats banked in that rebound I practically overextended a muscle in my arm I pumped my fist up in the air so emphatically, then proceeded to jump around a bit. For the first time I find myself somewhat optimistic about this series. I'm hoping for a split at the tank and with the day off hopefully get the needed rest for some of our injured to recuperate, go into the Joe and take the lead on the series. Still feel we have one hell of a mountain to climb but this game really made my day.

Giving the not-so-popular players some kudos here...

Sammy's been playing better because he's not seeing as much time up on our higher lines going against quality opponent's. Babs is using him the way he should and that an average level offensive player with a decent D game who belongs on our 3rd/4th lines. Granted he's shooting less and going to make plays more, and like tonight when Datsyuk was in the area shot to create a great rebound chance for Dats and it payed off big time. He overall seems pretty good in the clutch too. Lilja though has stepped up his game tremendously and should be admonished for it, short of Franzen and Cleary no one else has elevated their game as much as he has in these playoffs, I actually feel confident with him out there. Had pretty damn good hit for us too in the 1st to help turn the momentum in our favor when San Jose was making us look like a junior club. -
Rooting for Ottawa in the series, but I also want a long entertaining series as well, I'm happy no matter how this game ends.

Quadruple overtime or bust!

Or at least to San Jose, they have more road wins than home wins this season.
