Alright another one of those pointless soft hooking calls, lets get it together on the PK =/ *Prays to the god of short-handed goals*
-
Markov with our best shot of the night!
-
Lidstrom's been a beast out there, he's like a puck vacuum, completely flawless on the defensive end.
-
Calgary just got lucky, but I have to give it to them on that decision seemed right.
-
Double minor!! Cleary's working his ass off out there, say what you want about the Flames new found toughness but Cleary just out-did a pair of them on the boards there and drew us a nice juicy 4 minute double minor. God I hope our PP gets on track here though.
-
Good move letting Bert knock off a little rust on the PP.
-
I was seconds from bitching for a no call there
-
PP Let's get that lead, take the crowd out of it!
-
Come on Pain Train go for it Anyways good PK Not backing down either not even in their backyard.
-
Bad news is all the games they beat us in they did it on the PP.
-
They seem energized, and what the heck happened just now to our wonderful GDT?

All the pressure's on Calgary they need to win this to pretty much stay in the series, while we can the next two and still keep home-ice And of course it's time to bring on the Tuzzi! All I can say is LET'S GO RED WINGS! Score early and score often! -

On the plus side of Hudler being scratched, I'm hoping Sammy gets knocked down to Rex's ice time at least. -
Yep just read the update, No Rex, what does Sammy do other than run up Kipper's Save percentage and take dumb penalties. I know, I know beating a dead horse here. Here's hoping Sammy has a night like he did at Chicago rather than be a black hole in our roster when standing next to Lang. At the very least I'd like to see him use those 30-40 pounds of weight he has over Rex to something other than a counter weight for chest shots.
-
Great news! 9 to 1 says it's Rex =/ Edit: Said Hudler instead of Rex.

Nashville/ San Jose offensively, lots of vicious/dirty play and the games seem very up and down, been a blast to watch though games could be a bit closer. Vancouver/Dallas defensively, Every game's gone down to the wire including the epic 4OT duel. Turco's also been great so the Luongo/Turco match-up hasn't been nearly as lopsided as I was expecting it to be. Edge goes to Van vs. Dal. ...Third goes to the Pitt vs. Ott, inexperience versus past futility and tons of star power.

VS. seems to have made an NHL playoff commercial documenting Edmonton's upset of Detroit last season, didn't recall seeing Hemsky's soccer goal though. Also can we please treat the new Calgary fans with some respect? We have alot more who contribute intelligently to out topics than one's like that wings_suck_ballz loser. Last I checked cripsyflames wasn't spamming our board, let's not discourage Flame fans from posting intelligently here. -

As long as this game doesn't go inot OT and we lose I think I'll be fine, even with a lose in regulation, as I stated previously I'm for some reason expecting a lose so that won't bother me one bit. Still have the series lead and I'm expecting a split in the Saddledome anyways. What I won't be able to tolerate is staying up till 2-3 in the morning only to watch us lose in OT >_< When that happened last year with Edmonton I couldn't get to sleep and it ruined my work day. I will however I would gladly settle for an OT win -
The good-natured side of me wants to see Bertuzzi miss this game just to make this seem more balanced and fair. The cold rational side of me however says "Pounce now and go for the throat! Quickly before the wound heals!" But in either case no one likes to see injuries and I hope he gets better as soon as next game.

Also I want to comment on how I think this is an asweoms idea and I wish the best of luck to you L11

Probably not the right type of person for this thread but I find myself in a predicament as I'm trying to lose 5 pounds by May 5th. I weigh about 205 right now at 6'4 and have a body fat percentage of 8% so losing further weight is kinda difficult. I'm also not interested in dropping muscle weight at all, in fact I'd preferably like to gain muscle weight just lower my overall body fat. That part might be me getting too picky but I've considered maybe trying some fat burner's, metabolism boosters, diet pills etc. I'm quite the fitness buff myself and have always had a fast metabolism, being able to shed pounds quite quickly, but does anyone feel I'm starving for the impossible here? I'd also be interested to know if anyone's ever taken fat burners/diet pills, and to know if they work at all. I myself have never really taken them but would be willing to give it a shot if it means I can be under 200 pounds by May 5th.

I'd much rather face Nashville, which is why I'm swallowing my dislike of them and hoping they beat San Jose whom I most definitely wish to avoid if possible. How about Dallas upsets Vancouver? That's my iddeal scenario then I can gladly watch and cheer as San Jose slaps around Nashville, dirty play and all. This is all of course Moot as we're still facing Calgary of course, don't want to get ahead of myself.

I'm hoping for a split here, and all signs point to this being the game we drop which sucks because I want to win this one more than anything. Flames: 3 Wings: 2 Wings out shoot Calgary 2 to 1 and roar back in the 3rd just to fall painfully short. -
West by a long shot, not even close this year. Granted I see whoevere climbs out of the West being too exhausted to beat whoever glides through the East unfortunately.
