As usual, I'm swimming against the tide here. I never in my life want to see Iginla in a Winged Wheel. Ever. He's a nasty punk IMO. His repeated thuggish attempts to "send a message" in the waning minutes of a losing effort have gotten tiresome. What's really frustrating is that he is a good hockey player and he doesn't need to stoop to those antics. I just don't get it.

That's awesome! I'm so glad to see the fan base has improved. I was a season ticket holder their first season and the fans were less than stellar. I even had a car load of tough guys wanting to kick my ass even though I was seven months pregnant at the time, just for being a Wings fan.

Wrong. I've complained since they came up with the idea. Hockey is a team sport. You win as a team, you lose as a team. I'd like to see shootouts go the way of the glow puck. I don't care if the Wings win every single shootout they get into - it needs to go as far as I'm concerned.

Nope, my walker days are over, thank God! Although my BF decked it out with a Wings license plate and a whole bunch of Wings stickers. It looked very cool. I had to save it. We talked about this whole get-together thing. The interest in RW Nation!!! is shockingly low, so one person not being able to make it is much more glaring than if a whole group showed up. I may go door-to-door and kidnap people to show up one of these days. <evil grin>

Good Lord, did absolutely everyone here grow up in the 80s? My favorite player growing up? Gordie Howe. Yup. Watched him, met him, kissed him, would have kissed his feet and sacrificed a goat if I had the opportunity. He had god status in our household.
