Cheli didn't take a stupid penalty - it was an inadvertant high stick. He didn't hold, interfere, trip or crosscheck anyone. It was as much a mistake as the delay of game penalty. Part of the game and nothing to be done about it. Anaheim seems to be able to waltz in anywhere they want. If the Wings don't get on board with fore- and backchecking, the Ducks will be able to do as they please.

Obviously this guy knows nothing about Detroit fans. No one, and I mean NO ONE, can turn on a goalie faster than us. We sure as hell aren't going to chant his name to "buck him up;" more like tar and feather him first. If Ozzie is our weakest link, I'll take it. Gladly. -
I'm rooting for Chicago as well for a couple of reasons. They've been in the cellar so stinkin' long - Dollar Bill passes on and they make the playoffs in that same year. Coincidence? And I absolutely cannot stand the thought of Iginla's name on the Cup. Also, I'd like the Wings to be the ones to eliminate Chicago just as a little icing (no relation) on the cake of the season series.

No, I don't, but Holland has surprised me before. I'm sure Kenny would like to get this done beforehand in case Johan explodes in the playoffs and thus could cost more. Hossa's price isn't going to vacillate depending on his playoff performance.

Maybe if women received the same attention and training that men do, they would improve their skills. Goaltending is about fearlessness and flexibility, not strength. I see no reason why a woman could not develop into an NHL calibre goalie.

Not to detract from Joey's performance because he has made a couple of absolutely spectacular saves (the rat bastard - NOW you learn how to tend goal!) but he is SO taking the goalposts out for cocktails tonight.

Besides the usual stuff that has been mentioned already, the Isles are on the forecheck and backchecking like madmen and the Wings are letting them get away with it. They're not playing their own game. And is it just me, or is Drapes the only one that ever plays the slot? Shoot UP HIGH, ^$*@(@($&%&!@!!!

I don't mind losing - heck, you can't win them all - but what bothers me is losing so pitifully. Who dumps the puck in on a 5 on 3?? I could have sworn the Wings were a puck possession team. What really bugs me is I know what great hockey this team is capable of - last night was just painful. They get a few more games to get their act together, then they'd better step it up to get in gear for the playoffs.

Absolutely freakin' INCREDIBLE hockey by Minnesota the last minute of play. They wanted it and they wanted it bad, and it showed. I'm going to pretend this game never happened. I'd like to see Howard shake this off. Bad, bad game by the Wings all the way around.
