One thing I noticed at the game on Saturday is that Dallas can't keep anyone in front of the net. The minute someone tries to set up shop there, they get muscled out. The Stars need to change that if they want more scoring opportunities. The Wings need to just keep playing the way they are - seems everything is clicking just fine thus far. Hopefully they don't need skis instead of skates the next two games.

Difference is Cheli was traded - he didn't choose to come to Detroit. Schneider and Bert both signed elsewhere.

I think the Pens will win, but I'm SO rooting for Philly. I can't bear any more Crosby anything. Besides, it would be nice to have a rematch. Looking forward to this series.

Pavel's transformation has astounded me - it's been nothing short of amazing. I long bemoaned the fact that he would get pushed off the puck like a little girl and begged that he lift some weights or something in the off season. Seems my prayers were answered in a big way. However, it takes a certain kind of skill player to adapt to or adopt a more physical game. I think there will always be a need for players like Kronwall in the game. PS: I really miss the Barnes Bros. and Co. Some real entertaining posting went on.

Normally I avoid Denver anything like the plague, but I found myself bored with the lack of excitement in this series and a veritable dearth of trolls *shock!*, so I somehow wandered over the the Denver Post. I thought this article was pretty funny, and unusually complimentary coming from Paige.

I am eternally grateful we didn't actively persue him or he refused our advances, whatever the case may be (Thank you, hockey gods!), but I have to admit that the Avs definitely play better with him in the lineup for whatever reason. If Wings win tonight, this series will have an asterisk next to it because of the laundry list of injuries Colorado is suffering right now.

I read on the Avs board that some radio station was talking about having all the Avs fans bring black markers to the game and write on Wings jerseys in the crowd. It IS Nik's jersey. If anyone is concerned about accuracy, they may want to change either the sweater or the villan, as Saddam was incarcerated when Nik became captain and hence wouldn't have even had his pants on, let alone a Wings jersey. Maybe get a shot of Hussein after incarceration and photoshop it in that way. That might even be funnier...........
