Took me three years to get used to seeing him in a Wings uni, but now I have nothing but respect for the guy. How lucky we are as Wings fans to see some truly dedicated and talented players.

Okay, everyone knows I am the biggest proponent of contraction on the boards probably, but Nashville is a damn good team (at least against us) and has the makings of a real rivalry down the road. The Central has improved overall and I for one am glad it has. The Preds are there for now, so let's just make the best of it. I thought the whole premium pricing thing was a huge slap in the face to the fans when Phoenix started it, and then to have Nashville follow suit was criminal in my mind with that team struggling the way they were. The most blatant money-grab imaginable. It just shows they're not concerned about getting fans in the seats as much as they are about stemming the hemmorage of money. I hope their next idea is one that actually is geared towards the fans.

Here's the question I emailed in: As an NHL fan for over 40 years, I am growing more and more disturbed over the course the NHL has taken in recent years. I understand you are attempting to grow the market for the sport, but it would appear to me and almost the entire NHLFA and many thousands of fans more that you are changing the sport to fit your marketing plan and not the other way around. How long will you pander to the lowest common denominator and alienate long-term fans that have supported the sport for years in the process? Every single season ticket holder I know has given up their tickets this year. Do you think it's possible to make up for this fan loss, and if so, how long do you think it will take? Somehow I don't think this will be addressed - just a feeling. But it felt strangely good to send it off where some flunky will read and delete it.

While I really don't see Scotty or Stevie going to the Leafs either, there's no law that says it can't happen or that the Leafs can't be interested. It never hurts to ask. And I'd be surprised if Stevie didn't at least entertain the idea. It would be a very attractive offer to be GM of a historied Original Six franchise that is in need of some serious attention. What a great opportunity.
