Fine. Give them another 40 years to grab a fan base - just quit making me pay for it. You want the team, you support it. Or sell it to someone who has the pockets and the inclination to support it and grow it until such a time the team generates fans to help financially. I'm tired of the whining of "We can't compete. We don't have the money." If you can't stand the heat, stay out of the kitchen.

OMG! I spit out pop when I read this! Just wanted to let you know someone found it amusing. I'm all for getting back to a physical game, but this crap has to go. Hockey is polite rough and tumble, not targeting like this.

Yes, but I remember how he cried during his interview after being traded to Detroit. It didn't engender any warm fuzzies from me. I hated him back then as well. He was a real SOB. Plus there was the whole Chicago rivalry thing. Took me three years to warm up to the guy. Thank God Bert's gone. I don't think I'll live long enough to be proud he was on the Wings.

I agree. I had my picture taken with the Cup in 97 before the Wings won it. The closer I got to it, the more in awe I was. I just couldn't bring myself to touch it.

The problem is all Ducks fans are lumped into one category. Most people don't take opposing team's fans on a post-by-post basis. Some were trolls and were dealt with. Others have been nothing but polite, yet are being painted with the same brush as the trolls. People are individuals and should be judged as such.
