I have to go against the tide here. Chelie should have shaken hands, period. If you're going to play the game, you respect the traditions that have been in place for decades. There's nothing that happened in this series that would give him a grudge against the entire team. They won fair and square (a debate for another time) and he should have been out there with the rest of his team. I wouldn't mind hearing his logic, though.

Oh, are we playing for the Cup this year? I could have sworn we were eliminated last night......
-
I must respectfully disagree with this one and confess to shedding a tear or two when Stevie raised the Cup in '97. That being said, I was bereft over the loss on Sunday. This one, not so much. It's been a great season and I look forward to the SCF and the Cup going back to Canada. And of course, next year.

Pssssst - he can't answer you.
-
Amen, brotha. I've been rooting for the Sens the last two rounds. And we did get beat by the best - we beat ourselves by not showing up when it really counted and Anaheim did.
-
Constructive criticism regarding the game or go away.

This WILL NOT become a Bertuzzi/Moore thread. Discuss hockey-related attributes only or the topic is toast.
-
I hate to break it to you, Roberto, but no one here needs to do anything, other than be polite. If they don't want to discuss Giggy's goaltending prowess, they don't have to, and shoving your opinion down their throats won't make anyone happy. Those that want to discuss it, have. If I were you, I'd sit back and enjoy my team having the series lead and leave it at that.

Mrs. Matt, Mo' Cheese and me at the Colorado game in March.
-
Is it just me or are both teams playing like it's the first game of the series and they're feeling each other out? Some pretty tentative play on both sides here as far as I'm concerned. GO WINGS!!
-
Yeah, I may convince Matt to make this cause for banning!
-
It's no reflection on Detroit hockey - it's a sad commentary on who they choose to write about it.

Never, ever, EVER use the S-word before a game. Ever.
-
I don't read either of them anymore. I go to TSN to get my news.

I've never heard of actual tailgating at a Wings game, but Greektown is really hopping with Wings fans beforehand. It's tradition for my family to have dinner at Old Parthenon and then head over for cocktail hour and the pre-game skate at the Joe. Cobo Joe's across the street is also a heavy favorite for pre-game cocktails. And then there's always Hockeytown Cafe. Just about every place downtown will have a shuttle to the game or access to one.

I saw that. I LMAO. It would be even funnier if the guy was a Ducks fan.

Good news, Legionairre. The Preds deserve to be supported at home. Hey, what are our chances of getting some of that revenue sharing back now that you're flush?
-
No, Dom did not play one of his better games last night, but I really have to hand it to Anaheim. They stepped up and got the job done. And I don't know her name, but that blonde woman in leather (!) doing interviews, will somebody please fire her? "What kind of relief do you feel doing what you needed to do?" WTF? You answered your own GD question! Why don't they ask semi-intelligent questions, maybe something along the lines of "What did you do to adjust around Pronger's minutes?"
-
Psssst - it's called the instigator rule.
-
When Chellie is suspended by the league, by all means, let's discuss it. Until then..............
-
Well, Ducks fans don't know anything about it either, so I would say there's nothing there. Maybe they meant Kunitz? (sp?)
-
Don't care. I'm tired of the whole "Well, YOU did it" argument. And not even with comparable examples.
-
Back on track here, folks. Quit derailing.
-
I don't recall any gloating on the part of Wings fans, either. Besides, huge difference between a hand injury and a stupid hit that could have been extremely dangerous and career - if not life-threatening.
-
I would have bet the farm last night that Pronger wouldn't get so much as a slap on the wrist. However, never in my memory has the NHL called a disciplinary hearing without dealing a suspension. Is someone able to second that? If he were going to get a slap on the wrist, they would have just announced it to the press, no hearing. I'm all atingle now! Come on, NHL, do the right thing.
