Where on God's green earth have you been? Iginla is INFAMOUS for this crap when his team is losing.

    Calgary Fans

Blah, blah, blah. Do what you want off the ice. Taking off Z's head in the waning minutes of a losing game still makes you an *******. He needs to quit trying to "send a message" when he's losing. Do it on the scoreboard or give it up. He's got too much talent for that crap.

    Flames already talking smack

I disagree. I think it shows that Ruutu was a pansy and hooked instead of dropping the gloves. No reflection on Calgary. I was insinuating this is all anyone would have to do to circumvent the physicality.

    Flames already talking smack

From the look of this, we don't have to worry too much about physicality: LOL! This reminds me of the part in Indiana Jones where the guy is waving his swords all over the place and Indy just pulls out a gun and shoots him.

    Back again-good luck

I really liked the "Let 'Em See Red" slogan. I love this part, where opposing team's fans come in and everybody's so nice and polite. Then the series starts and the gloves are off. Can't wait to see JohnnyTitan and IginlaFan turn up. I look forward to a great series. *edit* And CalgaryPuck is a Class A board. I've been a member for quite a while. Could you send Heaton home when you see him, please? LOL

    RWHQ Playoff Party?

CRAP! Well, we'll get another group together at some point if it kills us.

Leave the Wings a positive message!

I'll do it if I can get over there soon enough.
  9. It's PLAYOFF TIME!! That's means a lot of extra visitors and a lot of bandwidth required. If everyone would take a moment and please make sure your signatures do not exceed 400x100, that will save mods a lot of time and energy checking and possibly deleting sigs. Thanks!

    NHLFA annual survey results

The fans have spoken. The two real surprises for me were most liking the shootout and Gary Bettman's grade.

Datsyuk Signs 7-year, $46.9M Contract Extension

Nope, I'm fairly certain Z's making about 2.5 a season for the next two years. That's why I said this really raises the bar for him.

Datsyuk Signs 7-year, $46.9M Contract Extension

Wasn't Kenny balking a few months ago over paying him 6 mil? For this kind of money, Pavel better be the Second Coming, and not just in the playoffs. This really raises the bar for Zetterburg, who's worth more than Dats IMHO.

    RWHQ Playoff Party?

Well, crap. There it is then. Let's wait another day and see exactly what the schedule is and we'll plan from there, but I'm 95% in.

    RWHQ Playoff Party?

It's the Penalty Box in Fenton. I'd really like to check it out, and the playoffs seem as good a time as any. If bRtd is going to be in town, we may want to wait until then. It would be the only chance he'd have to see it. I would also suggest we do it for games 3 or 4 so no one is in danger of actually making it to the game.

    RWHQ Playoff Party?

*waves hand* I was thinking we might try to hit Dave and Joey's place. Let's see what the rest of the rabble think.

    Time to re-locate Canadian franchises!

I see SWF's point. While all 6 Canadian teams are in the top 10 in attendance, Vancouver and Edmonton aren't generating the same revenue. Even though it would wreak havoc with the current fans (which Bettman obviously isn't concerned about), it could give a huge boost to the NHL overall in the long run. I'd hate to see a Canadian team move, but if Gary wants to stay the course, so to speak, this would be a move he would consider.

Stars president 'sick' of Predators' overall attitude

Not saying this is the case, but it's really easy to say "Oh, we intended to say something, but it just didn't seem appropriate, considering" after the fact. Make the announcement and let the fans boo it or not.

Stars president 'sick' of Predators' overall attitude

Everybody just needs to grow up. All the back-biting in the league is really starting to piss me off. I hate Modano and I'm not exactly a big fan of the Preds, but this call-out, while warranted, could certainly have been phrased so he didn't look like a petulant 2 year old. If Nashville wants people to accept hockey there overall, they need to learn to be a part of the league. This was big and warranted acknowledgement.

Reel it in, boys. This is most decidedly not hockey discussion.

And back to actual game discussion, correct?

3/13 GDT: Red Wings @ Predators

Rivalry vs. no is a pretty heated debate, but the last time out of the 400 threads that were started about that, so far no wins. Good divisional foe, but not really a rival yet. But with the makings of a really good one. We'll have to wait and see. I heard or read no one cheering the injury. If this is indeed true, I second the emotion. No player, no matter the circumstances or team, deserves to have an injury cheered.
