I completely agree. The problem is his complete and utter lack of remorse. I won't rehash the whole scenario and I hope no one else does either. We don't need to debate it again. I also can't deny the Wings need a physical presence, especially since anyone could pull up at least 10 threads where I advocate it. I just wish we had better options.

I'm thinking about how I felt when we got Chelios at first, and this is a hundred times worse. Plus there's no Bowman to reign him in like he did with Chellie. Well, if we want the rivalry to start with Colorado again, this is definitely one way to do it. Yuck.

We have LGWers visiting HQ the weekend of December 9th and then a few coming in for the New Years Eve and/or January 2nd game. Everybody sound off - who's coming to town when? Which residents of HQ are available for GTGs either weekend, to either fit in a GTG between games or watch a game on TV? None of this is carved in stone except for those traveling, so chime in even if you're interested but not sure you're available. Please also give suggestions for a location for our GTG. I'd like to get at least one in at The Penalty Box in Fenton if possible.

We're having venue issues. No one has room to host more than a few people. I might just suck it up and have everyone over on NYD and hope for the best, but a NYE party just wouldn't fit. I'm aware inquiring minds want to know and I'll post a definitive time and place soon.

I sent you a PM which you still haven't read, and that was a couple of weeks ago. Hmmmmm. If everyone will give me their availability - what days they have plans, what days and/or nights they're free, etc - that would be FABulous! I'm working on a NYE deal, but there's nowhere to go that's not going to be packed after the game. My house will fit six people - 10 if everyone's in 2 different rooms and not everyone wants to sit. Less if the tree's still up. Not conducive to a NYE party. Maybe NYD?

I agree Rogers is probably guilty as sin and should have been ejected. However, they had their opportunity to address the issue and chose not to. Even the coach of the Cards thinks it was dealt with appropriately, so everybody just needs to move on and let it play out on the field.

Once again, I am a contradiction. I am a firm believer in, shall we say, "physicality", but I voted against PIMs being a favorable stat considering we don't have anyone on the team capable of making it count.

Okay, attempting to reschedule the Toast to Stevie. I need a roll call, folks. BetterREDthandead is in town early September. If we could schedule this around that time, that's preferable. I'm thinking Cheli's Chili in Dearborn, Sunday, September 10th, maybe mid-afternoon? Four-ish? Early dinner, a few cocktails, and we're all home by a reasonable hour for work. I'm not married to this date. I picked Sunday because I remember it being mentioned Sunday's were better for some. Majority rules on the date and time, so sound off. If Saturday is better, fine by me. More time to hang out and no worries about work the next day. Let's get a date picked ASAP.
