Just received an email from the Wings that the Troy Hockeytown Authentics store will have 40% off everything except for authentic (game-used stuff I assume, or autographed pics) tomorrow, Sept. 22nd. Good time to stock up if you're low on Wings gear.

You guys didn't miss much. Ever since they started carrying Tigers stuff in there as well the selection leaves a lot to be desired. I did, however, score two new sweatshirts for a total of 38.16. Even the selection at The Joe the last couple of years has been lacking. I hope they step it up after The Joe Jr. is open.

Did you mean to say "should go"? Everything off topic after my post was deleted. Everything. I'm not going to constantly clean up threads. If it can't be kept on topic, it will be locked. This is not directed at you personally, but to all who replied after my post. The discussion needs to be taken to PMs after that, as should any and all helpful hints to mods about threads. They don't belong in general discussion.

And we're back to why the first thread was locked. Stick to facts about the case and how this case is affecting hockey. That's it.

This does nothing to address what she said. She was very specific in saying she speaks only to how she herself would handle the Wings handling the same situation in the same way. Please desist in attempting to rile others up.

It's a difficult line to walk. No worries.

This headed into political discussion again. Keep it on specifics to the case and Kane specifically.

P.K. Subban Donates $10 Million Dollars to Children's Hospita
vladdy16 replied to ShanahanMan's topic in General
A worthy cause is promised a substantial sum of money over the next few years and we're here arguing about whether that's a good thing? I weep for Wings fans. -
I'm not grabbing a pitchfork or anything, but I seriously cannot even look at that guy right now. I've always thought he was a dbag and he's done nothing to dissuade me. This seems like a lose/lose situation for all involved no matter what they do. The Hawks should have seriously hired a publicist.

No, but you'll probably pay a lot more via someplace like Stub Hub. There is a STH exchange on the Wings official site where you can buy tickets direct from STH, but again, they'll be more than face.

Apparently it's been postponed. "Sources" claim it's due to a pending settlement.

I would PM Matt. He does two leagues each year - one free and one buy-in.

Penguins Sale: Lemieux and Burkle asking for $750 million
vladdy16 replied to frankgrimes's topic in General
I was thinking they'd have to pay me that much to take the team off their hands, but then I realized I could mess with Crosby, so I need to figure out how much that's worth to me. -

This sums up my feelings on the subject nicely: Travis Yost @travisyost Biggest takeaway from this @MarkLazerus column: GMs hear 'bargain buy?!' when everyone else hears 'felonies' This doesn't just affect Hawks fans - the recent spate of issues plaguing NHL players has long been something we hockey fans have been pretty smug about not having to deal with. We've lost a lot of moral ground lately.
