No one said there can't be bitter rivalries without fighting, although hockey does lend itself to that being a large component. Most here are lamenting the decidedly low bar that has been set for what constitutes a rivalry; something we've actually been doing since the press kept telling us we had one going with the Preds two seasons into their existence

They're not. Used to be a rivalry grew from intense competition that left blood on the ice, literally and figuratively. Now it's just whatever team is playing on Wednesday night.

Looks like they're not doing the usual for ticket sales. They used to go on sale on Saturday and they'd have coffee and donuts and games from 8am until 10am. Still making my annual pilgrimage even though it will cost me a vacation day.

Is there any way to Photoshop live TV so we can scrub the advertising? I can't imagine doing any ads front and center as the article claims. Around the bottom maybe?

Number One defenseman. A great defenseman keeps the puck out of your net and makes sure it goes into theirs, sometimes from center ice.

They may be nice in their home arena, but they're generally jerks at the Joe. I've heard almost as many rude remarks from Preds fans as I have Flyer fans, and that's not easy to do. And that "gold" color is horrifying. -

Thanks, that would be much appreciated. There are 3 mods to the hundreds of members. We aren't online all the time, especially at the time these threads are being created, which is usually during work hours or at 3am. I'd rather get 12 reports about the same thread than no reports. -

OMG, what an awesome photoshop opportunity that is!! MINIONS!! I generally don't mind the poaching, especially in Babcock's case, as people prefer working with certain people and others are offered a promotion, but it's kinda weird that it's the only time people tend to leave our front office.

Here's the most interesting part of that article for me: Hmmmmm. Hey, Gary, I thought the NHL wasn't even considering expansion right now? The NHL announced it was accepting applications for expansion franchises from July 6 until Aug. 10. *EDIT* Apparently this was announced 6 days ago. How did I miss that?????

Because you are eligible 3 years after you retire. Pronger is not retired, therefore he is not eligible. Not sure how they're working that out.
