Who could be considered "historic" besides Chicago?

Hawks and Blues fans think the Wings are turning tail on them by leaving the West now that the Wings aren't the powerhouse. When did they start paying attention? Wings eked a promise when they first moved to the West that they would be the first team to go to the East when the opportunity arose. Had this happened 10 years ago, what would they have said then? I feel (kinda) bad for RWN not being able to see the Wings as much, but honestly it's the best thing for the team. The reduction in travel should have a measurable positive impact on their performance.

As a general hockey fan, this is awesome for the fans. They went through some things no fan of any sport should have to go through. As a Wings fan, ***** *** ******* ******** ***** **** **** ******* **** ****.

I will be thrilled for the Wings to be in the East, regardless. The Wings traditionally got killed on those West Coast trips - remember that? Plus we won't need to start watching games at 10:30 once the playoffs come around. The team will benefit greatly from the lack of travel. And, as mentioned several times before, the O6 matchups will be awesome! Make things right, Gary.

You are not allowed to shirk your GDT duties and then blithely blow in to comment! We all knew the day was coming that the Wings wouldn't be The Team. That day is here. I think we all need to get used to it and start enjoying the machinations of the front office (hopefully). The plethora of injuries is also making this lopsided.

Coming back from behind is always fun, but it would be better for my heart and my sanity if the Wings would command a game from start to finish.

Define trolling. I understand your POV completely, but the day we start deleting threads because we don't consider them discussion-worthy is the day we get crap for being fascists and violating free speech.
