Yeah, those demons from hell are.....hellish. I failed to make clear that I did not write this rebuttal; I was simply amused by it and thought to share.

Okay, this rebuttal is damn funny. I'm also not sure why someone would ever consider watching paint dry, but far be it from me to question the hobbies of an avid Yahoo sports writer. "I hate boring hockey, so I hate the Detroit Red Wings. They are the worst team to watch if you are trying to stay awake." I concur wholeheartedly! Nothing is worse than boring hockey! In my opinion, every game should constitute of nothing but brawls, slams into the sideboards, and knife fights between the captains at half time. "The Red Wings fans are some of the least knowledgeable, obnoxious, arrogant group of wannabe hockey fans I've ever had the displeasure of meeting." She forgot to mention that they all burn American flags, hate children, and defecate on small animals.

Then I'm firmly in the "crazy" camp. I put up with Chelios, I put up with Bertuzzi, thank God I didn't really have to put up with Hatcher, but swear to God if Pronger played here, I'd quit watching until he was done. I can't stand that SOB no matter where he is.

By all means, play through. I was not trying to discourage you from joining another board or talking with other fans; it's always nice to have someone defend the Wings' honor. I just wanted to make sure you were aware of LGW's conduct policy.

I haven't read this so-called "article" and I have no intention of doing so. Why do you let people rile you up this way? Anyone with a modicum of hockey knowledge is just sitting back and laughing at her. What these type of articles are really good for is entertainment, especially the comments left by other "fans" who are equally woefully ignorant. Relax and enjoy it, along with the fact that many others are modeling their organizations after the Wings, not the Stars.

Put me squarely in the "I have ZERO respect for Doan" camp, but other than being late, that looked like a clean hit to me. It looked like shoulder to chest contact to me, and I watched it several times to be sure. Three games is extreme for this hit, but it's not just for this hit. They are taking reputation into consideration as well. I suspect he won't learn any more from his suspension than Pronger did. Karma's a *****, ain't it?

3-4 weeks until he's out on the ice is optimistic to say the least. I've had that surgery on both knees twice and to get the knee strong enough to handle skating is going to take a little longer than that. It will take at least a week just to get the swelling down. Get well soon, Number 28!

I really expected that with Pronger and Neidermeyer gone, that crap would cease, but that was obviously naive on my part as that attitude is apparently pervasive throughout the team. Shades of the Calgary Flames. If you can't beat 'em, beat 'em down, I guess. Or at least attempt to. I think we can at best claim a moral victory here. Dats certainly didn't win, but he held his own and that's all we can ask for. I'd like to see Perry and Iginla fight to the death.

Under normal circumstances, you are completely correct; however, I'll bet $20 bucks right here and now that even if Chicago remains completely healthy, they don't make it to the WCF, hence my position that they're better off with injuries now rather than later.

I don't agree. Last season for the Wings is a great example of how you can be decimated by injuries mid-season and still have a 100 point season. Now, we all know that's not going to happen for Chicago under the same circumstances, but now is much better than later, especially for the Hawks.

While the evil side of me is chortling, this is not a big deal at this point. It's the beginning of the season. If they start getting bent over by injuries in January, THAT will be a problem. And then it will be a full-blown belly laugh.

I call BS. I know this is the punishment for the first contract and that this is allowable under the CBA, but for a first-time enforcement, they should have just nullified the contract and been done with it. Ignorance doesn't mean he's not playing nice. I don't think there are many teams that couldn't get past Chicago in the playoffs. They aren't cellar dwellers, but no way are they making it to the Conference Final this year.

I believe Matt's reasoning for this is you are a member of LGW and hence represent LGW in general. We don't want the reputation of being internet asshats. You all can think of examples of sites that have poor reputations. You can do whatever you like on other hockey sites as long as you cease posting here I guess. Trust me, I don't really like going to other sites to make sure our members are behaving within reason, but I do it.

If you're not happy with those seats, I'll be happy to take them from you. My only possible complaint about them would be that they are too close to the ice. Our season tickets were Section 208, row 18, seats 3-7 and they were AWESOME. I'm with Casey - I've sat all over the Joe from the 1st row to the last and I've never been disappointed. Maybe too close, but other than that, incredible.

I must admit I was really pissed when we traded Coffey away, but Shanny fit in perfectly right away. I couldn't argue with the trade after his first game here.

I find this whole dichotomy very interesting. The women I know personally are hockey fans in their own right and know much about the game. The women I see at the games are puck bunnies or worse, are there to be seen in their tight jeans and high heels and drink fruity cocktails.
