I understand the decision process on Modano's part, but if it's affecting other signings, particularly Darren Helm who I'd much rather sign than Mikey, I say pull the offer. I don't see that he brings anything to the table worth waiting for.

26 pages of discussion about Mike Modano? Seriously? I understand those that wouldn't mind seeing him here, but it's not like he's someone anyone would kill to have on their team. Personally, I hope he just retires and fades away. I'm normally good for the home-town angle, but Modano doesn't offer a whole heck of a lot IMHO and he's an ass besides. If he signs here, I won't be Hatcher or Bertuzzi upset, but if he retires or signs elsewhere, good luck and God speed.

If they moved, I'd probably watch them until the roster changed considerably, and then I'd abandon ship. The question is, who to switch allegiance to? Never the Hawks. God help me, never Nashville. (Although they'd probably move before Detroit) It's hurts my head to think about.

I haven't been to a different hockey arena than the Joe since 1992, but for the least well-behaved fans that come to the Joe, it's a tie between Philly and Pittsburgh fans. Philly fans seem to come here to fight and Pens fans just come to talk trash for the most part. Nashville fans are Number Two on this list. The best visiting teams fans? Toronto. They're awesome and they get the Joe rockin'. LOVE it when Toronto's in town.

I would HIGHLY recommend pre-season games. You get to see the final tweaking of the roster. There's players and line combos that you will see rarely if ever again.

I agree. The core is too good for Chicago to be cellar-dwellers the next few years. However, with this Cup win, I for one don't want to hear a peep out of a single Chicago fan about how the Wings bought Cups.

OMG - Chicago has bandwagon fans! Alert the media! I'll be the first the admit it's kind of pitiful - I couldn't find anyone in Chicago to tell me what time the first game started. Some of the actual fans are pathetic, no doubt about it. Their games haven't been televised in 20 years. What do you expect? I'm sure everyone here would be attending Wings games constantly because the games weren't televised in their lifetime because after all, it IS the Wings, right? Chicago is good again. I can rekindle the revulsion I have had for them my entire lifetime (twice most of yours) instead of feeling pity. But that is going to wait until Pronger is denied.
