The Wings are unlike any team the Pens have seen this playoff season. We hold on to the puck infinitely more than the other teams that the Pens have faced. The Penguins rely on the opposing team to chip the puck into the zone and wait for the D or goalie to go get it and start a fast break back out. Not with the Wings, we take the puck into the zone, hold on to it, pass it around, cycle, and shoot. Crosby and Malkin are going to be gassed just trying to get the puck back from us, while in earlier series, they waited at the top of the circles for the D to get the puck to them so they can scoot down the ice again. I just don't see how the Penguins can win this series. We have 2 shut down D-pairings witch will significantly limit the Olson Twins' offensive capabilities. Add onto that our Selke boys, and the Penguins are up against a real test this time. I am supremely confident in this Wings team based on their superior depth and dominating defense... and of course because Ozzie is a playoff freak.

Few things here: 1. The Wings are a little older than the Penguins, but they are in exceptional shape and have the veteran experience to make up for a lost step. 2. We have 2 shut-down D-pairings with Nick/Ralf and Kronner/Stuart. If the pens go with crosby/malkin on 1 line then Nick/Ralf have the entire penguins scoring threat neutralized. if the pens decide to split the Olsen twins up, then Stu/Kronner are more than capable to shut them down and lay on some "charm". 3. Hossa is going to play out of his mind to make sure that people see he made the correct decision on where to play this season. 4. Oz is a playoff freak. He has seen it all and done it all and will be in the HOF when he hangs up the pads. 5. The penguins have not seen a 4 line scoring threat like the wings. Even if Hank, Pav, Mule, and Hos dont play great, there is still Happy Feet, Helm, Cleary, Sammy, Flip, and Homer to deal with. 6. Oh yeah, our best offensive players are also our best defensive players. Z, Pav, Mule, and Hos all play significant time on the PK and are relentless on the backcheck. Crosby needs to look backwards this series and notice that he does not just have to deal with a defenseman, but the rest of the roster as well. Quick edit for #7: Helm is playing great and I think he will be a significant deciding factor in the battle of 3rd/4th lines. Wings take it in 6 just because we are a more balanced and complete team than the Penguins have seen the last 6 weeks.

1. Guess what, those back to back games are for the wings playing against different teams. This series, both teams play the same games, so there is no benefit to anyone. 2. The Penguins also played a tough 7 game series before the CF, and played one less game than the wings in the CF and therefore have ONE MORE day of rest than the Wings. 3. The Penguins also got shafted by Yanni and were forced to play on back to back nights against the Caps... in different cities! The wings get to stay home for the b2b games. 4. We are just better than the Penguins. After Malkin/Crosby, the penguins have little depth beyond Kunitz and Guerin, their Defense is suspect, and we have home ice advantage.

we are stating that Kronner got totally shafted after a clean hockey play endorsed by everyone who has ever played in the NHL. Not only did he get penalized, but he got kicked out of the game.... for a clean hockey check. go figure.

Hey everybody, This is the conference finals. Both teams have had to play great in order to get here. They have beat out the other 13 teams in the conference and are the last 2 left standing. Chicago got a bit of help tonight with the 11 minutes of powerplay time in the 1st period which really threw our lineup out of whack, not only with Kronner out, but also we were not able to roll our 3rd and 4th lines like we should have, and that hurt us the rest of the game. But still, Chicago is no pushover. I think the Wings will take this in 5, because Chicago HAD to win this game at home. Now they will be all happy they took a game at home and will not come with as much umph as they did in game 3. The Wings will be peeved at the amount of time they were on the PK, and will tighten up defensively. Chicago will need to press to even get into the zone, which will lead to odd-man rushes for the Wings. Wings win Sunday 5-1.

everyone quit whining, let the wings show up tomorrow, win the game, and let the ducks whine all the way to the golf course. what is done is done, yeah the ducks play a dirty style of hockey, but thats who they are, that is how they try to win. the wings are big enough to let this s*** roll off their backs and act professionally and play a real game of hockey.

yeah, that was 40 years ago, everyone played like that... times have changed.
