I think another big reason is that CBJ were throwing everything they had at the wings, as they were on the brink of elimination. If facing the fact of playing again or going home, I would go balls to the wall too.

Big Rick looked good today. Santiago was a beast and Inge again was good.

JV looked great today. he had the shaky 5th inning, but other than that his stuff was nasty. If I was him, I would concentrate on that inning 1-4 stuff and build from that. Cabby is still on fire.

yeah, inge and everett had errors in the 4th or 5th inning that led to 2 runs, so in reality JV gave up 1 run in 5 innings of work. He had 97 pitches though, that needs to be cut down a bit so he can get into the 6th and 7th innings on a consistent basis. BUT a win is a win is a win. 3-3 as of now.

I don't think Guillen will play much SS. We have Everett and Santiago who will take the load at SS. Guillen/Thames/Anderson will platoon in LF with Thames and Guillen taking the DH whenever the other is in the field. Anderson I don't think will get many starts with Guillen and Thames bats.
