we played a better overall game thursday than we have in the last 4 years in the playoffs combined. we hit, controlled the flow, held the puck, scored, and didn't back down from anything. I am very very encouraged about the rest of the playoffs. As long as we play like we can, we should do fine

it feels really odd for sure that this is the first playoffs the wings have had w/o stevie. if we go on to win the cup, it will feel really odd not to see #19 shaking buttman's hand... I mean bettman.

i have a few reasons why this wasn't a sellout... 1: its a thursday 2: tickets are very very expensive 3: people don't want to go to a playoff game if we don't win that being said, after this game the rest will be sold out now that people see that we are really capable of doing some things this year
