i am going to stay for an hour and leave at 7, that way i get some face time in class and get to see most of the pre-game and the game itself...

lol, i am gunna have to leave, i just noticed i got a half hour of battery left on my laptop! AGH!! if i stayed i couldnt even keep track here on the boards...

we just took a mid term last class... surely nothing important will be missed today? right?

i wouldnt go that far, but could see a nice 1 and 1 game or maybe 2 assists.

what, are we going to play no-contact roller hockey if we get a playoff matchup with a w. canada team? The Wings play our own game and are not going to change just to please the refs, it is common knowledge that the refs put the whistles away in the playoffs anyway so anything short of a over the shoulder two hander will be let go.

oh yeah, i forgot his MTL days... still dom has got him in vezinas and harts, and the back to back shutouts in games 6 and 7 should count for something

not to be a homer, but i think 6 vezinas and 2 harts in a 27 year stretch pretty much makes Dom a lock in that category. last time i checked Roy only had 3 vezinas and 0 harts... and only 1 more cup than Dom, and Dom is not done yet. Roy was an unbelievable goalie, but Dom, in terms of accomplishments, is almost equal to Roy.

does anyone know if there has been any attempt to join the NBA,MLB, or PGA on stations like TNT or USA? Those channels are more widely viewed than VS, they have a good reputation for showing sports on a regular basis. If ESPN continues s***ting on the NHL, maybe one of these mainstream alternates would draw some casual viewers who may be channel flipping.

its more of a flow thing, the last 4 games or so we have been wearing grooves to the penalty box and therefore are unable to get any kind of flow going. Even this lineup without hank and bert and cleary has the potential to put some significant offensive numbers up. Dats has been killing penalties and is tired when it is 5-5. The rest of the bench is all screwed up because the 3rd and 4th lines arent getting any ice time, and the first 2 lines are shuffled because there are only 2 guys on the ice. The key is staying out of the box and getting some PP time.

so if bert and cleary are both in, ellis and langfeld are done. those are 4th liners and we got 2nd and 3rd line players coming in... that means line shuffling... Homer-Dats-Flipper Calder-Lang-Bert Cleary-Huds-Sammy Malts-Drapes-Mule i am sure that these are not correct, what does everyone else think?

there is little room around homer as it is, and if you put another body, a bigger one, there with him, there will be no net to shoot at. Bert is like a bigger homer with better hands.

I said this in a previous thread, but in the playoffs, if you want to be the best, you should have to beat the best teams. If we lose, we are not the best team. Good teams find ways to win, and since we are knocking on the door of a 7th straight 100 pt season, we know how to win. Everyone just needs to hold their bashing until we see what the full red wings lineup does on the ice together... something that hasnt happened really since december, if you dont count the new additions of bert and calder. the truth is, we wont know what kind of team we have realistically until the playoffs start, so hold your criticism until then, and just enjoy the exciting playoff push to end the season...

They dance bad too. if they did that on the ice, the opposing team would just run away in fear, then the twins would win the game alone 68-0... maybe they should implement this tactic come playoff time
