Flashy defense comes from making up for being out of position on the play. The reason that Nick isn't flashy is because he makes all the plays look routine. That is why many non-Detroit fans don't see him like we do. He is textbook in everything he does which makes what he does look unspectacular. The thing is, he does this stuff every game with little/no mistakes, hence he is a great defenseman.

Yeah, I'm kind of spoiled because I am a Junior and 2 of my 3 years here we have won a national championship. Our ladies basketball and volleyball also won the national championship last year... our trophy cabinet is getting full. I would love to get down to Florence next year if we make it back!

the year we got swept by the kings in round 1... that sucked bigtime also last year, seeing stevie walk off the ice for the last time with no cup in his hands... sad sad day
