Loo... Dom WAS good. His style worked for him in the 90's when he was young and moonlighted as a contortionist in the circus, but he is 43 now and his stlye does not work with an aging, slowing goaltender. games 2,3, and 4 he let in goals in quick succession multiple times. A stanley cup netminder needs to be good. if the defense shuts down, stanley cup goalies stop the shots. Look at what has been our downfall the past 4-5 playoff years. The goalies we faced stood on their heads and stopped shots. We pelted them with 30-40 shots. The defense didn't help those goalies much. Dom gets at MOST 20-25 shots and lets in goals. He needed to steal games and didn't. Ozzie kept us in the games he played in. Our offense couldn't get that insurance goal, so Ozzie had to be really good to keep the lead. I am sorry, Dom just doesn't have it anymore.

big game today, clincher! lets put them away now and heal up our bumps and bruises a little before the WCSF.

I am not concerend with the lack of leadership. We have a solid TEAM. We have a good mix of stars, veterans, and young guys. The veterans like Chelios, Maltby, Draper, Homer, Rafalski, Drake, Ozzie, and Dom all have the respect of the locker room and all will open up and rip on the team if needed. Nick is the leader, but those vets have enough experience to stand up and say what is needed to say without getting shunned by the rest of the team.

gotta have this one. absolutely need to have this one. lets hit em hard and early boys! go wings!

everyone needs to chill. it is just 2-2. Nashville is a pesky team, but we can put them away easily in the next few games. I am sick of all the bandwagon jumpers here. According to them, one loss in the playoffs means Holland, Babs, Flip, Hasek, and Hudler are all gone and this team will never win again. Take a deep breath.... in.................and out... Ok, it is just 2-2. We haven't lost anything yet. It is a best of 3 series now and we have a good shot to win. Every year it is this same talk of hockey armageddon when the wings lose a game. You people need to realize that no team has gone 16-0 to win the cup. It is hard to win in the playoffs and you will lose some games. That is why they play potentially 7 games in a series, so if you lose one, guess what? You can try again in game 5! WOW! What a concept! If you lose, you can try again! Get it? Good. Now lets root on our wings and not jump ship every time we let in a goal.
