lol I was building a chair. I knew someone was going to post something like that though.

I got two blisters on my hand from working today. one is on my middle finger, so that might hinder my ability to give my opinion on the ref job for the wings game tonight.

NO QUIT! Are you kidding me? Oh man is this team gunna be interesting this year lol.
-
5-1 for the first week! I will take that. What a group of guys we got, there isn't an ounce of quit in them!

its just the rolls of material they put down under the ice to make the lines and white surface. most rinks paint the white and the lines under the ice, but I am assuming that they just put down rolls of vinyl with the lines and markings on them instead of paint.

Should the NHL change the Conference seeding rule?
rwfan007 replied to wingsdiehard13's topic in General
Divisions are there for regional travel and to encourage inter-division rivalries. So having divisions is kind of a playoffs in itself so the top team in each division is rewarded for winning. The playoffs are there for teams to see how they stack up against the entire league, but divisions are there basically for the travel, keeping the majority of the games within a reasonable distance instead of jetting all over the country every game. -
Is there anything better than Opening Day with the Tigers? Its just not the same with the Wings, not much of a production at the Joe. This is basically a holiday.
-
well, I guess the tigers just bide their time and shuffle past the starter and then tear a new ******* in the relief? 3 games and 3 blown saves by the royals...

very interested to see what Scherzer can do for the Tigers tonight.
-
I think if Pronger, Perry, Tootoo, and Crosby all went to the Avs, the Wings and their fans would gladly bring that rivalry back. But yeah, I think it is really dead since the lock-out because a lot of players from both teams are retired or were not able to stay with the teams because of the cap. It was a good run, but all good things must come to an end.

Well everybody, the season officially starts tonight with Yankees/Red Sox, and the Tigers kick off tomorrow in KC! It's April everybody, baseball is back!

Well, bye bye "Gum Time" Tigers trade away Nate "Gum Time" Robertson to the Marlins for a minor leaguer and cash considerations. Nate is contracted to receive $10 million this year, so that is a huge weight out of Ilitch's pocket. That leaves Bonderman and Willis to take the last 2 starting spots. 1. Verlander 2. Scherzer 3. Porcello 4. Willis 5. Bonderman http://freep.com/article/20100330/SPORTS02/100330049/1319/Tigers-trade-Nate-Robertson-to-Marlins

It could be closer than you think in the Central. With Nathan out of the picture for an extended period of time this year, the central is definitely up for grabs now.
