snow is evil, dirty jobs is great, and Dogfights is even better

yeah, as I was writing that list I thought, where is a good one? We need some kind of talent there or it wont matter how many runs we get.

I have the Trilogy on DVD

so now all we need to do now is get some pen help, who do we have in there now? I saw that we made a pen move today... Denny Bautista from the Rockies for Jose Capellan. Not sure who that is... So: Seay Rodney Jones Rapada Vasquez Tata Miner McBride Grilli Durbin Byrdak Bazardo Bautista yeah, we need some help here...

We don't need Willis to be an ace, he is the #3 starter at best here, behind Justin and Bondo. With this offense that we have now, all he needs to do, all any of our pitchers need to do, is keep us in the game. As long as our rotation gives us a solid 5-6 innings and keeps the opposing hitters to 3-5 runs, we have a legitimate shot at winning the ball game. Comerica Park is a pitcher in itself. It is so big, that a pitcher pitching here will give up less home runs than he would in another park. We just need a solid rotation, they do not have to be stellar. i never said anything about maybin and miller not being all stars. They will probably turn out great, but 24 and 26 for Cabrera and Willis is not old age in baseball, they still have 10-15 years left in them, knock on wood, and we know they are good now, they will help us now, and assuming we sign them to a mid-range length deal, they will continue to help us. We simply do not know what Maybin and Miller will turn out as, so we traded uncertainty in the future for legitimate success now.

Other than the Gambler, we have a young rotation... Bondo is 25, Verlander is gunna be 24, Willis is 26, and Robertson is 30. Now in a couple years Porcello will be up and will be able to take Kenny's spot... in the meantime, we can get a FA pitcher to bridge that gap, as well as give some time for drafting some prospects. We have a solid rotation that can take us into the next 5-10 years without having to majorly tap our prospect resources. The only thing I am worried about is our fielding prospects (or lack thereof).

i thought I had something to say, but alas, I do not

The Office is on

vance wilson anyone?

Pav is starting to heat up! watch out NHL

I think willis will do good here, he was the ace in Florida and is only 26. Now he can relax and just pitch his game in the pitcher friendly confines of comerica. Verlander and Bondo are the Aces for the Tigers so there really is no pressure on Willis.

Inge... my favorite player will be gone soon
-
Polanco hit .350+ last season, extra base hits gets extra people on base and having the power later in the lineup after the high average guys gets more runs in. I will take a Polanco single and a 2 run homer over a solo shot any day. Put people on base and good things happen
-
there is no way that Polanco is batting 9th... he is the best 2 hole hitter in the game of baseball Lets see, assuming Inge will be gone (which I hate BTW) 1. Granderson CF 2. Polanco 2B 3. Ordonez RF 4. Sheffield DH 5. Cabrera 3B 6. Rentaria SS 7. Guillen 1B 8. Rodriguez C 9. Jones LF

So Thames, Inge, and Durbin are expendable now... Inge is my favorite player, and has been for 5 years. Thames I understand, because he just hasnt had a chance to show his real stuff, and got the shaft when J. Jones came along. I like Inge and Thames, but I fear they are on their way out. Good guys, I hope they show the Tigers what phenomenal players they gave up.

This is the worst deal... Miller and Maybin are the Future Stars of the Tigers, trading them away is the last thing to do. I just do not get this thing.
