Most of yhe criticism is generated because of Sammy's red hair and the fact he is a step-child. Maybe it's one of those integal things we might not know about, {Sammy's placement on the second line]. Something he does/doesn't do, that makes the whole second unit better.Or it could be a case where sonething he does;doesn't do that would make the 3rd or 4th unit terrible. In other words, he is where he is not because Babs thinks he is one of the best 6 forwards but because of the dynamics of his other lines.

Lidsrom has my vote. Ozzies been playing his best hockey ever but with the way we have been out scoring the opposition, I question how many games we would have lost even with an average goaltender in the nets? Osgood has stolen 3-4 games for us for sure but how many games has the defensive anchored by Lidstrom saved also. Also, is anyone else scratching there heads over how well players are playing in their contract year? Look at the goals Drapes was scoring before he was re-signed and how his goal production- not his defensive play has dropped. Ozzie is also in a contract year and we will have to see if he is the same goaltender after he is signed.

Guys, you are showing how small you backyard is. The "mullett" .... "wings". whatever,. has been the rage in Europe the last 2-3 years now. YES IT'S BACK!!!!!

The reason for your question, is the exact reasom so many Red Wing fams were frustrated with lLang. He can do it whenever hr wanted. While here, he didn't perform up to capabiliies very often.

Wasn't this a contract year for Drapes?

Torres is a CHEAP SHOT artist!!!!! He goes out of his way to try and injure other players. No thanks.

If this means no action is going to be taken on Iginla or Langkow, we should be very upset and dissapointed in the NHl. -
I personally would not try to defend what happenned, trying to justify makes it even more pitiful. What the goaler did was just a part of what else was going on in the game If the tables were reverse, I guess I would try to figure out what caused my team to react the way the Flames reacted. I understand the mentality that "You beat us on the score board, but we're going to make you pay physically". This is fine but some of Galgary's players took it to far. Far enough to the point where it was obvious that there were attempts to injure. This plus the fact that the Flames did something similar i[tI've never seen them take ito to the point that it went Sunday] two years ago, in the playoffs and have done it to other teams, would, make me as a Flame fan question the teams leadership, starting from the Coach down to the Captain. Sunday's game was on natioonal television in the States. Some of the Flame's players got a very bad name, but even more costly, the game of hockey was given a terrible reflection. I guess this is where I am going with alll ot this. Some of the individuals in Sunday's game, not only showed a total disregard for the players safety on the other team, the fans and city they are representing, as well as the game of hockey. The people who want to put restrictions on our game, as far as not allowing fighting, wanting only "stick checing" etc. will use this game as ammuntion for their cause. Let us hope the NHL, takes care of it in a just way. Keep the fighting and the physical play in hochey, but lets show some class and respect.

"Saturday, Feb. 17 I talk to Florida assistant GM Randy Sexton about Todd Bertuzzi, and he tells me "the guy we like is Perry." I offer him profanity. If you are offended by profanity, it's difficult to make a trade in the NHL. If you are going to try to rob me, at least wear a mask. We talk to Philadelphia about Kyle Calder." It seems that diary was either created for public consumptiion or was edited afterwords for public consumption.

It's mice to see the Wing's aren't part of all this scuttle-butt. Boss, in a recent post, you mentioned you were Jewish. Didn't your tag use to be "Boss Hog"?

If he makes the Wings, we are going to have to get him some support in the toughness department, or he'll get burned out real quick.

True, but not at the expense of creating new great memories.

If I was Belfour and with my history of back problems, would I want to come to a team like the Wings, who could offer me no protection from being "run at".
