I disagree. It's still two steps behind any other major sport league's web sites. But it's an upgrade over the old one, even all info is kind of the same. I didn't try it myself, but I watched Hockey World Championship using this solution. You need to install SopCast player, you can download it from the web site: http://sopcast.com Then go to http://livetv.ru/eventinfo/2505 - this is Detroit - Anaheim game, I am not sure whether they'll really broadcast it, but after you have SopCast player installed, just click on the button on this page that looks like "Play". That should do it.

I wanted to clarify some things here; PURE ECONOMY and HIGH LIVING COST are two opposite things. When you can't buy a nice house for 400K this is one thing, but when you literally don't have a job or you don't know what is going to happen tomorrow - that is totally different. BTW, I am from Wisconsin and I've been to R1 G2 and R2 G2 and it's been awesome, but I was able to go just because I wasn't on any of the season games (I usually go to see Wings play Chicago in Chicago). Another reason I might think of would be that with all HD technology I don't mind to see a game at home on my 50' screen and see all repeats etc.
