If the Flames can take game 4, I love our chances in Detroit for game 5. This game is HUGE Flames are 5-0 this season when I get drunk at the game, including last night. I definitely plan to continue that trend tomorrow! Granted, 3 of those were against the Oilers...they barely count. Heal up Regehr, you're needed now more than ever.

I heard it was just somebody that pulled it as joke. It was funny, usually when there is a fire alarm people obey it no questions asked. Not 1 person even thought about leaving their seat.

Well if we are, we shouldn't be. You guys blew us out on home ice, both times. We held on for dear life in our barn, the game could have went either way. Even if we win game 4, it will STILL be an uphill battle.

LMAO....you think thats why he gets the boo's? Bertuzzi is a hockey villian. He has never played the Flames particularily well, he gets boo'd because of his past. Fair or not, thats the reason.

Sorry about that. My new keyboard has a mind of its own, and for whatever reason I can't seem to edit my posts. But to the point, no he didn't. He was terrible, slow, and useless. Okay...I just described a couple Flames I guess. But we weren't the ones trumpeting Bertuzzi. He did exactly what I knew he would.

The game was a good one, could have went either way. I think we had the edge from the fans. I was really proud of the Flames fans for this one. Very vocal all night. Kipper was good, Amonte was good, and Conroy was good. Lombardi was great! Booing Bertuzzi was lots of fun, especially considering how useless he was out there. Mayou gube your worst player on the ice besides Lang. Still, you guys dominated your 2 home games...we barely squeaked out a win for ours. Game 4 is absolutley crucial.

What a great atmosphere last night, better than I had anticipated. The noise level before puck drop brought back memories of 2004. It was great to take in a playoff game in person, nothing else like it. Just glad everyone ignored the fire alarm!

Bertuzzi had exactly the impact I thought he would. I said before the game, your team is good enough without the guy. All he serves to do is fire up the fans. It sure was great to boo him once again. He just doesn't fit in with your team IMO.

That hit was bordering on charging. Look at how many strides Cleary takes in his path to Phaneuf. Borderline at best.

Well, thats a good question. You don't really have a player that resembles him, but in terms of importance to the the team Schneider is probably a good example. Even though they play totally different styles. Regehr is our best defensive defenseman...so its hard to measure the value on that. Its significant, believe me. If it wasnt so late at night I'd go look up what the teams record has been the last few years when Reggie isn't in the lineup, it wouldnt be pretty. Well below .500 anyways. We just don't have anybody than can step in and do what he does.

Last year we were one of the best home teams in the league, yet went 2-2 at the dome against the Ducks in the playoffs. During the 03/04 run, only 6 of our 15 playoff wins came on home ice. Recent history suggests you guys have a great chance, if not a better chance of a victory than us. We shall see...do or die time for Calgary.

Sadly, no. Which probably means he is not playing. Havent heard a thing about McCarty either, I'd love to see him dress in place of Nilson.

So much talk about Bertuzzi... I find him one the least intimidating things about your team. Thats a compliment to the Wings as much as its a knock on Bert...I've never liked him, before the Moore incident or after. Your team is good enough without him.

I have to say, I'm really impressd by your team. Not once all year, or last year, or the season before that have the Flames been manhandled in back to back games. This has been a team that bounces back from embarrasment. I chalked game 1 up to nerves, and a lack of preparation. I assumed game 2 would be a closer battle that we could probably come out on top with. But no, it was another beatdown...some may say it was worse. Now nobody can use the excuse that we werent ready, or that we were nervous, or that we didn't have our best Defenseman. You guys bent us over and had your collective way with us. If it wasn't for that Finnish freak in our nets to make the score look respectable, one might think you were facing an AHL team. The Flames now have to play flawless hockey. 1 slip-up on home ice and we'll be down 3-1, or we won't even make it back to Detroit. I'm still confident we'll find our game at home, but it might still not even be close to the game you guys will bring. Just impressive.

I read the thread title and thought for sure I would have to come in here and defend Kipper. Little did I know about 20 Wings fans would do it for me!

Believe it or not, alot of Flames fans hate the Canucks even more than the Oilers. Those that followed the team in the 80's will never cross over, but anybody than jumped on board after the 80's rivalry (myself included) absolutely despises the Canucks. That being said, we still hate Edmonton.

My thoughts on game 3.... I'm going to DRINK! Im trying to get Tuesday off work so I can hit up the beer gardens and tailgate parties leading up to the game. Then down some saddledome heroin beer and hopefully be celebrating a Flames win. I might only get a game or 2 this year, so I better live it up while we have playoff hockey. Even while down 2-0, playoffs are still like Christmas to me. I love this time of year. Not making any game related predicitions this time.

I wouldn't be opposed. Playfair is not the guy for this team. Some Flames fans have been calling for his head for months. Not that its all his fault, the team as a whole has to be held accountable. But you can't get rid of a whole team, so turning to the coach may be the only way. Either way, I think we're done for. This ain't our year.

I've been anti-Playfair myself since about mid January. This stuff never happened with Sutter at the helm. If they were embarrased 1 game, they were out for blood the next.

We're not all 100% sure, I said Regehr is our best shutdown player. He gives us the best chance to shutdown Dats and Z. Whats wrong with that?
