I've seen this game before. We'll come back to tie it at 2, then blow it in the 3rd. lol. No i know its not over at all...just really frustrated at the lack of effort displayed. If we were down 2-0 but played with some emotion I wouldnt be so discouraged.

My God what a miserable period that was. Phaneuf and Hamrlk are hurting us bigtime. We are missing Regehr badly. Same team showed up for this one that has been showing up all season long on the road. We'll have a good 2nd period, but this games over. congrats on game 1.

He's been doing that for 2 seasons now. His hit highlight reel is just as impressive as last year. Did you see him turn Denis Hamel into Dorothy Hamel earlier this year?

For a game of that length and importance...it sure was boring to watch. Playoff OT is supposed to be exciting!

Moss is a pretty big guy, 6'4 I think...and he likes to hang out around the net. My bet is he'll be the first guy to make Hasek take a swing. This is his rookie season, had about 10 goals in exactly half a season...41 games. So a pretty important guy for us that not many people know about. Think Martin Gelinas but with a little more size and less speed. As for the physicality issue. Our defense takes care of that with Phaneuf, Regehr, Stuart, Warrener, and Hamrik.

Greatest CHANCE of being upset is different than picking us to win. which is what I said..hardly anyone is picking us. Go to some sites like tsn...espn...see for yourself. Calgary is probably the strongest 8th seed in recent history, so of course there is a chance for an upset.

First off, David Moss will be in lineup which means either Ritchie or Nilson will be scratched. Secondly, guys like Primeau, Yelle and Hamrlik are needed on any team. Hello Maltby. If it is hype you are talking about...then fine. I'm not in Detroit so its tough to gauge how your media is spinning this. Here in Calgary, and the rest of Canada, most people are picking your Wings to win the series. Not much hype on this side of the border. But to look at that team on paper and call them weak is just incorrect.

You seriously think that's a weak lineup? Look, I'll be the 1st to admit that you guys should take this series, but on paper the Flames have one of the strongest lineups out there. Where is the weakness? Hopefully the Wings players and coaching are naive as that. It'll be a cakewalk for us if thats the case.

You list Dave Moss as injured. He is recovered and actually played the final regular season game. He should slot in on the 2nd line Right wing, bumping Lombardi down to the 3rd line.

Its funny, alot of whining about smack talk but this board has a LOT more of the smack than the Flames board. Bottom line, its going to happen both ways. If you're complaining about it, you must be a new fan of the sport. Its all part of the playoff fun!

Nothing definite. Regehr has a tweaked knee, if I had to guess, I'd say he'll be playing on Thursday.

The buzz around this series is somewhat funny. Its almost as though fans of both teams are making their teams out to be the underdogs. The media seems to be spinning it the same way. I've never really seen such a thing.

Some nice praise for Iggy from you guys, good to see. Phaneuf seems well liked by his teammates, but I have heard the odd rumour, and remember...just rumours, that he's not the nicest guy out there. Cockiness, confidence....he's got both. But he is just a spring chicken too, can't forget that. I still love to have him playing for us rather than against us.
