There have been so many in recent years, but my favorite would have to be March 26, 1997. While Mccarty/Lemieux , Vernon/Roy, and the other fights were the main event, An overtime goal by Mccarty for the win topped the night off. Mccarty's game 4 winning goal and Yzerman lifting the cup for the first time are other memories i'll never forget.

LGK.com has some really talented people when it comes to videos and pics. They recently had some pretty good stuff on former U of M player Jack "MF" Johnson.

I'm sure New York is going to do whatever it takes to resign him, but it would be great if they didn't and we were able to land him. He would instantly become my new favorite Red Wing.

If i remember correctly, the last thing i heard was that he was involved in a lawsuit regarding the restaurant he and Lewis owned. I didn't hear how that turned out however.

I'm pretty sure its mainly because they switched to those new buffaslug jerseys. I don't know many people who actually liked the look of them, but i guess people were buying them. Combine that with their succes this year and it makes a little more sense, but it's still odd they could be that high.

The REAL Sharks logo, not the "leaked" prototype

laser beams?! -
HA, that never gets old. As soon as i saw the thread title i had a feeling it was going to be that play. While i remembered it was a blues player, i was freaking out that it might have been Drake. I should have known better, Drake would have at least took out the goalie.

Will Kopecky give #28 to Rafalski? No Will Rafalski walk into the locker room and have a brand new jersey with #28 and his name on it and never know that Kopecky wore #28 because the wings took it from Kopecky? Most likely. Kopecky has played a total of 31 games in the NHL including the playoffs with 1 point to his credit. It doesn't matter if he would be willing to or not, the decision is most likely out of his hands.

Pronger at it again: elbow to McAmmond's head

Blacked out in the Big Easy. It's in the second section. -
Cherry will be on Monday with NBC. Tonight Hull was on Hockey Night in Canada during the first intermission.

It was Dino.

Not really, but don't feel like going back and forth over this since he appears to be fine, so i'm cool with that. Third times the charm with some highlights then im most likely done. For the same reasons you don't put Hank and Pav out when a game is out of hand, Holmstrom probably shouldn't have been out there. I know we all like to think that him stepping onto the ice in the 3rd made the ducks piss themselves, but they didn't and probably were more happy to show the league that Pronger's hit didn't take him out for as long as it could have. His value to us is more important in the next game than it was in the last 20 minutes of this one. Head injuries are not always black and white, but im glad the dr. gave him the go ahead. The Question isn't " now that Homer is ok should he have come back to play?". The question is "should he have come back to play?" I say no, but understand why others say the opposite though feel they are just focusing on the end results. Once again, i was totaly pumped when i saw him come back and can't wait to see him in game 4.

I was just teasing you. I was actually trying to find the article that mentioned him playing goal in a practice, but came up empty. He was one of my favorites and certainly wouldn't have forgotten him, but felt like everyone knew where i was going.

Why the heck would i add a Goalie to the list?

It's not his choice, its the coach that gets to make that call. I would expect nothing less from a warrior like Homer than wanting to be on the ice at all times. While not diagnosed as a concussion, any head injury should be considered serious and the rest would have done him nothing but good. Once again everything appears to be great since after the game he said he still felt fine, but lets not act like if he were to get another injury we would have all been as happy. We saw they were still going after him. I was as happy as anyone that he got to play in the third and since he now seems fine more power to him, but i think if he got another injury the FUs would be switched.
-
Should someone have stuck up for Holmstrom? Yes. But being relistic, who on this team is going to do that? Gone are the likes of Probert, Mccarty, Grimson, etc. Another thing to consider is who was on the ice with Homer at time? I can't remember off the top of my head, but if it was our usual top line than i can live without one of them getting injured even if the trade off is a five minute power play with Pronger off the ice. Hopefully the league will now decide that it is their turn to standup for Holmstrom and against dirty headshots in general.

I know i loved seeing him come back, but as much as we were all pumped up about him coming back, there really was no need for him to risk any further injury. Sure, it was great that everyone was wanthing him to get a hat trick, but in the long term that would be a really trivial trade off if he were to end up having to miss any games. His helmet came off again in the third as two ducks went after him in the corner. What if his condition is worse than it appeared to be at the time? It is easy to sit back now that everything looks to be fine with him, but everyone would be all over the coach if he had gotten hurt in the third. Holmstrom is being recognized as the important player he is and there is no need to risk losing him in a game that we were dominating in.

Wow! Only $20 for a chance to get a signed puck of a fan favorite or future hall of famer, with the money going to charity on top of that. I wish i would have known about this. Congratulations to everyone who took part.

Maybe I read it wrong, but i thought i saw something on their site saying if you bought tickets that were not available they would then exchange them for tickets of equal or greater value. I'm a little diassapointed to hear that they didn't offer you some other tickets, but at least your credit card wasn't charged.
-
Did anyone get tickets for game 2 from Daily Stubs? I'm thinking about it, but not sure if i can make it yet. I'd like to hear about others experience with buying tickets from them.

It probably doesn't mean much right now, but congrats to the sharks and their fans for a very entertaining series. They are still a great team and the majority of their fans were great to talk with. Now onto something i have been wanting to say all series, but wasn't going to until it was all over. Mike Grier is outstanding. I have followed him for most of his career since he is from Detroit and have always thought he was great, but getting to watch him for six straight games really showed me just what a force he is. The guy hits like a ton of bricks and brings a level of energyto the point that you know something can always happen when he is on the ice.

Did you have any problems with security or any other consequences along those lines?
