Saw this happen in a lacrosse game once when a D man took a shot to the chest. It caused him to cough up a lot of blood. The EMTs said it was nothing to worry about. Never did see the kid after that. Last time i checked, coughing up blood was a pretty bad sign.

They seem to be at fault. I have gone to several wings games not at the Joe and have never feared for my life. Even when we were in Chicago and we were giving the fans a good, lighthearted ribbing, we made it out in the same condition that we entered the arena in. Hope you heal quick and i hope that you return to the pond to watch the Wings win game 6.

The cross check is part of the game especially around the net. Just ask Homer. Yes there probably should have been a call made it on it by you can't call them all. Big part of why it wasn't called was probably because of the reputation that Avery has. Kind of like when goals get called off because Homer is in the area of the net. Avery is trash. But i have to say that it is fun watching the stupid things that he does. Keep it up Avery, at least then the Caps have a better chance of coming back in this series
