That really is to bad. He is fun to watch, when they are not playing detroit, and brings to excitement to games. Then there is the fact that the sens really need him. Do I smell a losing streak in their future? Probably not but it will be interesting to see how they do without him.

I would also love to see them pull out the jersey with the old D. I tried to post that one up as well but couldn't find a picture of one. I'm not at a fan of the black wings jersey. Black has never been, and i hope never will be, a color for the wings. Why wear a black jersey. I guess i just hate them. I love the 27-28 jersey. I think that it looks sharp. I own an Yzerman one from the 91-92 season. It is my favorite jersey that i own.

Anyone else hoping that the Pats lose tonight? I'm praying that they do. And i hope that the Jags start to run away with it in the forth.

I thought it was a decent game by our boys. Evenly matched from the look of it. Shame it didn't go are way but i'm not to upset about it. Our boys made a nice run at it at the end. They never gave up and OTT got lucky on the last goal. Danny was in the right spot at the right time.

I thought that the young guns game was so fing boring last year. I don't really care who plays in it unless they really put a little effort forth in the game. My idea. Treat all-star weekend like MLB does. Who ever wins the weekend gets home ice in the cup finals. Take the scores from both the young guns and the regular all-star game and add them up. You can also take the final score from the skills comp and add that into the mix. I think that this would help to make the games and skill comps a little more exciting and meaningful. I propose this idea only because the game and skills comp was pretty boring last year. They need a way to spice it up a little bit and get the guys to try a little bit harder.

I have to pick Franzen. He is a good player who shows up in the big games. He can hit and score some big goals but is not consistent enough on the goal scoring end. I love his size and his grit, however, he is not as good as the other three. The other three are putting up some great numbers this years. None of them have fewer then 24 points. Cleary is going out on the ice and is playing a physical game and can score goals as well. Hudler, well everytime he is on the ice something decent seems to happen. And Flipp, well did you see the goal that he scored the other night? That boy is going to be a great player down the road. He might be right around the corner from becoming a superstar in this league. Again, i'm a huge Franzen fan but i guess if i had to pick from that group he would be the one i would have to part with.

I never thought that i would see the day that that wings would be giving stuff out at games. Good for them for finally seeing the light and brining in a guy that will make sure the fans are a little bit happier. Hope that this brings in a few more fans to the games to fill up that lower bowl.

AO is the man and i guess that this contract just proved it. Don't know why any team would want to commit to a single player for that long. It seems like a risk to me if he were to get injured. ON top of it, if he does get to a point that he is just unhappy in DC, how do you trade a guy with a 13 year deal in place? Congrats to him and enjoy spending that money AO.

Agree on both. I still can't get over the fact that Legace is going. He has put OK numbers this season. I don't think that he is All Star worthy just yet. I think you could make a better argument to have added Hasek. Which would have been sweet to have Ozzie start the game and then Hasek close the game. I'm willing to bet that two teams have never sent two goalies and i doubt it will ever happen. But man that would be kind of cool IMO.

Worse news of the day if you ask me. I to was hoping that we would have an outside chance to get him but knowing that we never would. Good for him. It's nice to see a little loyalty these days in sports. I thought that he would be running for the big money at the end of the season. I will now continue my yearly trip to DC to watch him play.

I really hope that if he is moved that the leafs don't get much for him. I think that he is a solid player and any team would be lucky to have him in their lineup. The issue is that he will probably end up a leaf next year. I hate the reantal players. I don't think that its fair for a team to give up quality guys or high draft picks so that you can have a player for the last few months of the season. If the guy you are trading for is going to stay in that city for a couple of season then i'm all for it. End the existence of the rental player. Thats what i say.

I have to say that he deserves a shot. He is going about it the right by playing with Flint to start out. If he can prove that he still has gas left in his tank, which i think he does, then maybe he goes to Grand Rapids for a little bit. See how he does their. If he plays well enough and if a chance comes were we could use him in our line up due to injury, then why not give him a game. See what happens in that game and them maybe it becomes two games, then three and so on. I'm a big fan of Dmac. I think that he can provide the team with more then Drake. I think that we could use an enforcer for the playoffs. If Mac is ready and can compete at an NHL level again and help the team rather then hurt the team, then why wouldn't Babs give him a chance. Hell, maybe that chance comes in training camp next year rather then this season. Would love to see him back in the red and white again.

So philly is trying to bring back the old days are they? Downie should be suspended for 20 games since that squad is on double secret probation. Make the team pay a very hefty fine and force out the coach. HOw are they are able to get away with this type of crap? First Hatcher almost bites a guys finger off then this. I don't think that we need to go over the rest of the crap they have pulled this year. Sure am glad we don't play them this year.

I have to say that i'm not interested strickly because he would be a rental player. I hate that whole situaiton and i would hate us to give up Hudler only to lose Mats at the end of the season. Give them Sammy and Lilja and no more.
