why the hell would you leave somthing like that out so that anyone could get it and ruin it. I would have had that ball in a case under lock and key so that nothing ever happened to it. This guy should be fined for his stupidity.

For me, i love sitting behind the goal. We use to get 6th row next to the zamboni entrance and i truely love those seats. You feel almost like you are on the ice with the team. You can see the entire sheet of ice, you can feel the guys getting crushed into the boards. It's just great being up close. I have always been a wings fan, once i got that close to see the action, i just feel in love with the game that much more. If you can't get down low then the upper bowl with in the first 10 rows behind the gaol is great as well. those are my thoughts.

Well i think that he could come back this year. I don't think that he will be able to play at the level that is custom to playing at. He seems to be a very dedicated athlete who will work his tail off to get back out there. I hate the avs but i must say that he is a good man and i hope that he can come back. If not this year then hopefully next season.

I agree that gary has done a s***ty job of selling this great game that we all love. I think that the attendence issue in detroit has more to do with are wonderful economy here in michigan and also to do with the fact that still so manny seats are corporate owned and they just don't get used. For me i fall into the fact that i just can't afford to go to the games. Parking has gone up, it cost an arm in a leg to get a slice and pop. On top of it, if i'm going to try and go to a game i would much rather pay a little bit more to be in the lower bowl then paying the price to be up in the second level. I do agree that we have the most fans in the NHL. Every time we are on the road you see tons of wings jerseys in the crowd. We are loyal fans that love to see our team play and i think that we enjoy going in the enimies barn to stir things up a bit. I have to games in CHI and Washingting, at both places i have met some great people and we rib one another during the games. It's a great time. As for fans that come to detroit to see a game, well they tend to be jerks from my experince. The leafs fans seem to be the worse and i wish that we would kick anyone with a leafs sweater on out of the Joe.

How much do the AVS fans hate Wings fans in their barn? I remember the Hawks fans were nice to us until the game started. After that they truly hated us and wanted to kick our asses as we left the game. It was great fun.

They do seem to be doing the right things in Chi town. I love the fact that they are finally making themselves a better team. I miss the old days of the DET vs. CHI games when both were top teams in the league. Those were some great battles that i'm hoping we will get to see again in the near future. They are on the right path.

OK, don't know if this is true and i'm not even sure how old his son is. Could Chris be trying to play long enough to play with his oldest son? I think that his oldest son has just graduated high school or will be at the end of the year. I don't know if he is even good enough to make the NHL but i know that he is playing juniors some were. Someone had brought this up the other day and it made me wonder if that is Chris's master plan. Would be pretty cool to get to play in the NHL with your own son. I would think that Gordie is the only other player who did that.

I got two ten row back behind the goal for when ATL is in town. I'm very excited to see Kovlachuck play.

I know that he should be the highest paid. My only point is that I WOULD LIKE to see him take a home team discount so that we can do some things. Once Nick retires you give him part ownership of the team as part of his salary.

I would love to see the wings play any of the original six in an outdoor game. However i don't like the idea of them playing it at the big house. I think that it is way to big for hockey and the poor saps that are stuck way up top would not see a damn thing. I really can't think of a single place that the game could be played in Michigan. I can't wait to see the classic. It should be pretty cool to see the game and all the fans. On top of it all, it will just be great to be able to see hockey on TV. I hope that they get some great numbers and that it is a high scoring game. The NHL needs to put a great product out on that surface in hopes to sell the league.

I think that we need to get Fill secured for the long haul. FIrst we do need to get Hank signed. I would love to see him stick around for about 5.5 a year. He is worth, in my eyes more then any other NHL forward out there. I would love him to sign for 5.5 so that we have a little room to work with down the road. Once Nick retires, and i don't ever want to see that happen but it will happen, then give Hank a nice big deal which makes him the highest paid Wing. I hope that we if we can get a deal done with Fill soon, we can save a little bit of money on him. He is playing out of his mind and is really a dependable guy who is putting up some great numbers. i would also like to see us get a long term deal done with Hudler, but know that is not going to happen since babs seems to hate him. The last thing that i would love to see happen, but won't happen, is i would love to see us work an incentive based deal with Samuelson. I'm not a huge fan of him on the ice right now. He is not consistent right now and doesn't play a physical game. Maybe a deal that is incentive based would help him produce a little more and would help us save a little cash. If i was GM this is what i would try and do.

I thought that this was a great game. It was nice to our guys play in a great close game that we had to fight through. The guys didn't give up and played some great hockey. It was also nice to see a game that was a little more like the good old old days of the detroit colorado games in the past. it was not exactly the same, but you say that there is still some hatred out there for the each other. I would love to see us get the old rivalry back. I miss the fights and the physical games that we use to have.

Lets not get to crazy. He did mention that detroit is the best team right now. He also mentioned that he thought San Jose is in the top three. Now they do have a lot of talent that doesn't seem to be produce right now. But how the hell do you put them in the top three right now. I guess we should all just be happy that the is in the wings band wagon right now and enjoy it while we can. I do think that he showed his stupidity when he put the sharks in that group as well.

Well last year at this time i hated Lilja. Last year during the playoffs he seemed to turn his game around and has been playing pretty dran well as of late. I'm glad to see that since he will be here in detroit for a while. He seems to be playing a little more of the tough guys role which i think we needed and that he needs to keep up. I'm now willing to retire his nickname of Lillypad. I'm more then happy to bring that name back if he start so suck it up again. Keep up the good work Lilly.

seemed to be a clean hit to me. I guess it was a case of wrong place at the wrong time for Jackman. Can't say that i feel at that bad for him. Hope that he ends up being OK in the end but at the same time i'm glad that he got his bell rung. Whish he didn't get hurt, i guess.

This is great news indeed. Now i want to see how much room is left to get a deal done with Hank. I'll be honest, i thought that we would get a deal done with Hank before we resigned any of the current players. Glad Nick is sticking around, he is the man.

I really hate this game this year. Aussie, thank you for all of the hard work that you put into this game. 10/25 I think that this is my worse ever performance.

I second that. I just hope that this is not giong to be a major chronic problem that is going to keep him out of games every season. I have a feeling that maybe they are just resting him and really nothign is wrong.

I have to say that it was a nice fight for Crosby. I never really had a lot of respect for him before, because he never seems very tough. But this has shined a new light on the kid for me. I'm impressed by a player that will take care of him self. Well done Sid.
