I think that the Wings tried be cute more offten when Scotty was on the bench. Maybe that had to be because we had so many skilled hall of famers on the team back then. IMO i don't think that this is the problem. I have always thought that are problem is a lack of grit. I like Calder and think that he has allready added a little bit of grit and has good size to him. I hope that when we get Bert out there he will add even more grit and toughness to this team. I also hope that it will keep teams from taking runs at are skill players. I'm also looking forward, and i guess hoping a lot, that Bert will drop the gloves when needed and stick up for our guys.

I have had to pleasure of meeting alot of the guys. The two nicest that i have meet and had a chance to really talk to were former back up goalie Kevin Hodson and Paul Coffey. Coffey was probably the nicest one of all. I use to work for the proffesional lacrosse team in detroit when i was in middle school. Me and a friend were shooting around the field before a game when Paul came out and started shooting with us. Next think we knew he was giving us a full tour of the wings locker room. It was one of the coolest things i ever go to do. He kept trying to find things that he could give us but the equipment manager at the time kept on saying no. Paul was awsome and i will always rember that day. Kevin i got meet when i wa working at a restraunt. The team was having a going away party, I think it was for Stu Grimson. I had just finshed my shift and walked to the back and he just said hi to me and next think i knew we were sitting there talking for about an hour. He was really nice. I have also ran into Stevie a couple of times and every time i get all tounge tied and end up sounding a like a fool.

I'm starting to hate this game. I always looked forward to it in the past. But come on how do i only pick one correct game on friday. One damn game. It's starting to drive me crazy

Nice save that was made to look even more impressive by him twisting and turning and sprawling on the ice. I have seen better.

If Dom is not back next year, i think that we keep Ozzie and groom either Howard or Liv to take over the goal in the next year. If there is a top notch goalie who could be signed or traded for at a resonable price, then go get him.

I think that it's pretty cool that they are trying this. But i do think that they need to try and make sure that things are fixed here in North America before they start to play games over seas.

I agree. I don't think that the wings ever had the small, big small stripe look on any of their jerseys nor do i think they ever had the small then big stripe on the bottom of their jersey. I could be wrong but i would have to thin that it is a CCCP jersey as well. That could be a cool thing to have. 272 doesn't seem to be an outrageous price either.

I sure am glad that it will be Brodeur who will end up taking the record from Sawchuk. I may have had to kill myself if it was Patrick Roy. Brodeur is a class act who deserves any and all records and awards that he earns.

That is funny stuff. Wish there was a wing in there but i couldn't think of one guy that might have fit into that commercial. Maybe Drapps (pretty funny guy) or Homer.

I would also love to see Hudler up there with Dats and Homer. Maybe this will be our lucky night tonight and Babs will give him a chance. These lines look pretty good to me as well. At least a young guy is getting the chance to play with the big boys.

IMO, the Pengs are loading for one heck of a playoff run. I think that they are making their team a force in the playoffs. They have alot of talent and now they are getting the grit and tough players to make a good long run.

I hope this happens. We do need another scorer but if it is at all possible i would much rather see Billy G. in the winged wheel. I guess that is pretty much a long shot at this point. I want to see one more move and then i sleep a little bit easier tonight.
