Not interested in this move. He WAS a good player at one time but really has not been on a winner. He played on good teams that underachieved and i think that he is only as good as the guy he is paired with. Don't make it happen Kenny!

OK I have not read all the post in this topic. I'm ticked off about this though. If our guys are hurt they should not have to play in this exhibition game. It's BS that they are being suspended for not playing. Crosby better be forced to sit at least a game for not playing as well. I'm glad that Kenny is supporting the boys. It doesn't suprise me that he is pissed and i hope that he raises some hell with the league over this one.

OH this is easy. Got to be the Russians at this point. Two reasons in my head. The Russian 5 became the russian 5 because they would all play on a line together. We don't see the Swedish 5 on the ice at the same time all that much at all. Second, the Russian 5 accomplished more in their careers. Granted the second part could be crushed by the Sweds but i'm not sure that it will.

And why is the NHL the only, at least i think the only, league that doesn't offer a signing bonus to their players? Couldn't you give a guy a big signing bonus and then have him sign a small long term contract and the player still gets his money? I would think that Mr. I could pull this off.

Wow!!!! Great story. It made me respect that Crosby guy and the entire Pittsburgh organization a little. It's stories like this that i wish would get picked on a national basses. People should know that there are amazing professional athletes out there that do great things for people. 10 years, hmmmm.... well why not. As long as the salary peaks at the front end and then falls over those 10 years then i'm for it. I think that it is a no brainer for Z, sign the deal already. He has had a history of back problems. All signs currently point to him having pretty well under control, at least this season. You are getting a long term deal with one of the best professional franchises in sports. Why would you not take that deal? My concern, if i'm Holand, is what if he ends up like good old Dipetro who spends more time on the IR then on the ice? Your screwed then. IMO Z is worth the risk of a long term deal. I think that his best seasons are still ahead of him.

That is pretty interesting. I'm surprised by Z's number. Its much higher then i would have ever guessed. Drapper does a lot for us and his number doesn't concern me. I also love that Hudler is second. He is a underrated in my eyes. Cool find Reds4life

there is nothing better then Red Wings Hockey. They are the greatest sports franchise of all time and I try to make sure that i can watch every game that they play.

Had to pick wings and avs based on my age it was the best. I'm starting to think that Wings and Hawks could be heating up again and could take over.

I agree with you on that one. I think this is a great story and i'm glad that the kid got the stick back. Its so nice and rare that you hear a story like this one.
