Ron Wilson Fired by Maple Leafs

Kind of off topic but it has some lawls, the first 5 minutes at least. The last minute is very sad... God bless that family.

    Lidstrom to win Norris trophy?

Mike Green would be pissed IMO if Karlsson got it and he didn't get it back in 09

NHL and steroids according to Laraque

NHL has a problem with performance-enhancing drugs. Quote from Laraque: Anyone know who he could be talking about? I have no doubt in my mind that some NHL players take performance enhancing drugs. Hell I always thought Lapointe did.

    Johan Franzen Depreciation

Big stretch. It was either Hossa or Mule+depth, which Holland with rather have a balanced team over a top heavy squad. Even with Hudler over seas for the 09-10 season we were still right at the cap. That extra million with Hossa would've meant more depth loss besides just Sammy.

    Johan Franzen Depreciation

Mule could be a 50G guy IMO if he played with passion game in and game out. It's like he has the Fedorov emotion bug.

    Hemsky signed

Still better than Gomez's per goal cost.

    Bertuzzi Contract Extension

I don't like the second year because of our youth in the AHL but this might mean that Holland isn't to impressed with them at this point.

Datsyuk out at least 2 weeks

Yeah, when Cleary went to get his knee taken care of Datsyuk looked hurt as well. You could tell something was bothering him so hopefully this is it. Although during those games it could've been his wrist since his passes and shots looked weak.

    Cherry rips Holland

Grapes has never won a SC while Holland and Babs have. I would rather follow their success way before Cherry's on this one. Every once in awhile Grapes makes good to great points but not this one.

Datsyuk Dominates in the HNIC Players Poll

Seems like Ron be hating on Datsyuk.

Rick Nash "available for the right team/price"

WoW first time I seen you post in a long time.

    2/14 GDT : Stars 1 at Red Wings 3

    what he do?

Rick Nash "available for the right team/price"

I'm honestly not sure where he would end up. But looking at how the Canucks have their money spread out they would have to move Kesler plus someone else or move a lot of depth in order to make up the cap difference. As for Boston again they could do it but future wise it won't make sense to pull the trigger on a trade involving Rask. I can see the Hawks make an offer. Bye bye Kane & Hjalmarsson(sp). Not sure if Kane's NMC is active until 14-15 or it doesn't kick in until 14-15. Another team is the Leafs! They need to toss out the coaching staff and GM as well. Just a brutal organization from top to bottom.

Rick Nash "available for the right team/price"

Nucks don't have the cap space and I don't think LA would be Nash's choice destination. No way the Bruins give up Rask with Thomas being 37 years old.

Rick Nash "available for the right team/price"

I think getting Nash would have damn near the same impact of us getting Shanahan back in the day. To bad that a cap system is in place now, if it wasn't for it he would already be a Wings player IMO. Not to mention if Jimmy has another Vezina-esque season he pretty much will double his salary cap.

    Joey Mac

Joey can finish out the year here but I wouldn't want him to be our backup come next season. He has played decent the last couple of games but his rebound control scares the living crap out of me. I believe playing in GR regularly has allowed him to find his groove unlike Ty. But will he be able to find it when he is sitting on the bench like Ty does for most of the season?

    2/12 GDT : Flyers 3 at Red Wings 4

I mentioned the juicy rebounds that he allows to happen last GDT. The Wings defense cannot be there to clear them every time.

2/10 GDT : Ducks 1 at Red Wings 2 (SO)

He did his part but watching the replays on NHL.com he left a lot of juicy rebounds around the net and at times didn't even know where the puck was. The defense3 bailed his butt out a few times IMO.

Cleary out for about a week

Datsyuk should join him. His passes lately have zero zip on them and you can tell that his wrist is bothering him.

2/4 GDT : Red Wings 4 at Oilers 5 (SO)

    Fans reaction is priceless

2/4 GDT : Red Wings 4 at Oilers 5 (SO)

Yep, Mule looks like he doesn't give a s***, the passing has been off the marks all game long, Z looks like he is skating in sand. Hell I've been more impressed with Homer than most of our top players. His passing is way better than some of our top wingers.

2/4 GDT : Red Wings 4 at Oilers 5 (SO)

I think people are forgetting that Kronwall was standing still on the first goal scored while Stuart was out of position. And you all expect Ty to stop redirects so close? No one was even getting Gagner out the way. Let's just leave a guy alone who was dominate last game and is showing signs of doing the same thing tonight. Pretty stupid on the Wings part.
