No, No, NO! Jagr interested in Detroit.

Just like the offense during the entire year it wasn't consistent enough. Periods of looking good then periods of it looking like total ass.

    2nd round pick for Versteeg.

I think people seem to forget how bad he looked on the PP. Whenever someone cleared the puck on the PP he would either go very slowly after it or look at the bench for a line change. It was so irritating to watch, he had no passion in his game at all.

I was interested in Versteeg and I think Datsyuk can make him a 25G maybe 30G tops guy. The only thing is we would have to give up prospects + picks for him now if they wanted to move him. That is something that would have to be looked at closer. He didn't live up to Toronto's expectations of being a bigger point producer. Well most the the team didn't but they played better down the stretch when he wasn't there. I see him more of a replacement for Flip than Hudler if the Wings ever did get him.

That whole goes long stretches without being noticed and if he is noticed it is for the wrong reasons thing. Turnover galore when he isn't on his game which is often and after a decent start playing defense he stopped. Bert should be a 3rd liner and stay at on the 3rd line.

Let's be honest the Russian national team is a choke fest worse than Miami with the big 3. Also I am pretty sure it was for bronze not gold. Canada didn't have the best people at the tournament as well. Again the NHL playoffs are not some quick one and done tournament. It is a physical and mental grind along with a much longer, tougher, harder NHL season.

Recchi has heart not sure about Jagr.

Didn't he leave the NHL because the season was to taxing on him? I don't want him anywhere near the Wings locker room.

    Wings unlikely to sign Osgood/Draper

I wouldn't re-sign Ozzie but I would re-sign Draper if possible. Helm and Draper seemed to work really good together.

    Scoring isn't really the Issue

Because our depth is way too inconsistent. They show up for a few games then disappear for a long stretch. At times it didn't even look like Flip, Bert, Homer, Cleary were even trying. If it wasn't for Datsyuk, Lidstrom, and Z the SJ series would have looked worse.

    Scoring isn't really the Issue

Consistency is our offensive weakness. Sure we had the 2nd highest scoring offense in the regular season but in the playoffs (where it truly matters) our depth disappeared for the majority of the SJ series. I think we need that consistent 2nd line center that does not vanish for long stretches.

Yep, there is still plenty of time for a comeback. Boston better not get comfortable and stop pushing.

Former NBA players son on path to pros... in... NHL?!

As far as Mexicans go you have Gomez, Fernandez... also I think Torres is the only Spanish speaking person in the NHL.

I sure as hell didn't expect the Nucks to lose like this twice in a row.
