So I am watching today's game on NBC and I am almost getting motion sickness from the damn camera guy zooming in and out all the time. He zooms in so much that with a quick pass he loses sight of it and you pretty much miss some of the play because of it. Who ever is this camera guy needs to be fired. /rant

Add to the fact that at the beginning of the year we had a pretty nice easy going schedule. Also our defensive spiral started before much of our group got injured.

I think another 4 years as well after this year. They won't buyout DiPietro's contract more like ask him to retire. It makes more sense and I would play the "think about your future health" card. Let's be honest he really does if his knee is this bad and he is that brittle.

For being a puck possession team we are making some of the dumbest decisions with the puck. Even if a lane is not open to pass it to the target player they try to force it which usually gets turned over. Passes are not tape to tape like they need to be in order for our style to really kick in.

I really don't blame Howard for the first goal, that was a hell of shot. I think it's sad that a puck possession team cannot even make tape to tape passes for most of the night. Most were behind or in the feet of the receiving player... how in the hell do they expect to get into the zone with any type of speed with that s***. It's funny that when Modano got here he said "Passes are right on the tape" to bad it isn't happening now. And what did we start doing once we couldn't carry it in, dump and chase. Which we didn't even have enough guys chasing it down to make that work. Time for a basic passing practice IMO.

If Stevens was in the NHL and doing those hits now a days he would be suspended. He usually caught people that had someone back checking them while he went east to west.

Hank had some good speed going on that first goal. He looks so slow now a days compared to that highlight of him. EDIT: on a side note Mmmm Asha

I made that comment back before his play went to WTF land. At his current rate he is going to make Ozzie money.

With the depth we have when everyone is healthy and seeing how good our depth is playing (sometimes outshining our top two lines) there would be no room for him IMO. Wings would have to let Miller go then rotate him in as well, I just don't see it happening.

Wiki says tied the 13.5 record in 96 But I would love to see that years fastest skater event. Such speed. The only parts I like about the skills event are the speed, hardest shot, and shootout relay. That skills relay they had almost put me in my sleep.

Yeah, I have no doubt in my mind he can hit that in the mid 13 second range. Maybe it's just me and old age but most of these all stars are not really all stars IMO. I am not in awww like back in the mid to late 90s.

In your example why would 2nd place team sign another goalie out of the blue if they are set? Unless it's injuries (like use) 2nd place team has no need to go out and sign a goalie. Bad example

That's just it people are forgetting that he had his chance to play for a contender this year. He priced himself out of that opportunity when he didn't want to take a price cut. He was free to choose any team he wanted and he didn't lower how much he thought he was worth. Now he is stuck with the consequences of that decision. If he outplayed Howard I think he could of got the starting job. That's all Babs keeps saying, whoever plays good plays
