Yeah... not to go all mindfly but it doesn't look good. It didn't help last night that Lidstrom played darn near 30 minutes along with Rafs 25 minutes. I am hoping that Tatar and Draper get a little bit more ice time than last game. Ozzie cannot let in one bad goal tonight as the Canucks are just as good defensively as offensively.

After looking at it again look how he lines up Stuart about 3 or 4 strides before he hits him and pumps his elbow. He wasn't going for the chest or going to try to take the stick, he 100% knew what he was doing when he went for the head.

I see the Wings only giving him that much if Tatar is playing all season with us next year. E needs a new contract and our goaltending duo will never be as cheap as it is now IMO.

Enjoy Eaves while you can, I have a funny feeling some team might offer him a contract for way more money than the Wings can give him this upcoming off season.

Yeah I was gonna comment on that once I read about it. Were the goals his fault or just unlucky in that department? EDIT: Watching highlights what the hell was he doing on the first goal? The play was going on and I see him rush back down the middle while the guy was winding up.

Something I noticed was that after Tatar made his great defensive play I didn't see him out on the ice much after that. Kind of odd IMO

In every game both goals should have a video camera inside them. This would of been so much helpful if they had one in the net. Florida should of tried harder to get them to review it.

Helm does remind me of Draper. Both are just workaholics on the puck but as of right now I would give it to Draper in that area just because he seems smarter out there which is just veteran experience. Draper in his prime maybe could go head to head with Fedorov in terms of foot speed and Helm is just as fast. In another 4 years or so Helm will be a great veteran in the Red Wings lineup. He still has things he has to work on like using his wingers better but that is just NHL experience which comes with time.

Murphy was wasted even before the puck dropped today. I wonder what they gave him during the first intermission? He seemed to get better during the second period and coherent during the third.

Seeing as how both goalies are damn near allowing 3 goals against every game this past month I see it as more of a bad team defense issue. For people to call out Ozzie like he is a hero these past few games is ridiculous.

You mean the goals that are deflected or the ones that his own teammates put in are bad goals?

How many did Ozzie let in today? And if we lost the game it would be because Ozzie let in a weak one. I fail to see what puts Ozzie over Howard right now when they both are letting in 3 goals against in their own way.

Even if he had AHL hands he would be at least a 30G scorer. EDIT: His skating is so beautiful its like watching Fedorov out there with some of the moves he makes

Hey in another thread I said Ozzie always lets in one bad goal a game. Truth hurts sometimes Hmmm... now if they only made a t-shirt that had Helm along with engage on it
