And what will be the backup plan if we can't contain a teams offense? The offense can't finish, and the PP has had issues for years now. As others have said our margin for error is small now because we can't backup out defense with a potent offense.

I am on the boarder with Tatar being tradeable. He has potential but I just dont see him having the finishing touch necessary to be a top 6 guy.

People can blame this on the refs all they want, but the fact of the matter is this team is having a hell of a hard time scoring. Sure we would all have liked for Datsyuks goal to count, but we had multiple PP opportunities to score and nothing came from it. Scoring one or two goals a game wont cut it in the NHL

In practice he is probably going against Howard, so yeah. Near the end of the game Guss-Sheahan-Tatar were together for a couple of shifts, which was awesome since they were about the only few people making a difference out there. Kindl's TOI was 9:55, but every minute he was out there he was noticeable in a bad way. E is not a top 2 guy, top 4 guy at best. As good as Howard was tonight we need him to be good in the SO as well. This team learned last year that these SO points are valuable for bubble teams. Besides Datsyuk, no one can seem to run a PP and no one can win a face-off.
