This forum is so funny. Blaming the refs for supposedly costing us the game and getting on Howard for letting in deflected shots when usually posters defend the goalie for allowing that type of goal. -

Going back to Tatar, him taking the body on the boards is something Hudler needs to do. That got that whole crash the net play going. Very nice job -
When I look at Draper I see the future old version of Helm and when I look at Helm I see a younger version of Draper. Both have hands of stone early in their career. As of right now Draper is currently out playing Miller IMO.

Wasn't he on pace to hit 500 wins at one point? Win wise I thought he was hanging with Broduer and Roy for a bit.

Well even with the GM change there are to many NTC/NMC on current contracts that will stop them from rebuilding (if the new GM wants to) for at least another year.

Who was it Hejduk that tried to make the pass? He had a better chance of shooting it in than trying to make the pass. EDIT: I'm surprised Osgood isn't getting any attention for his accomplishment on TSN.

Well lucky for them Arnott is only a one year deal... so that's his cap hit gone along with Langenbrunner's.

No, it's a first round pick sometime over the next four entry drafts... NJ's choice which year. Also a third rounder which will be given up next year guaranteed.

This goes beyond the Kovalchuk contract and that cap hit isn't that bad if he was at his regular scoring pace. Rolston $5M, Arnott $4.5M, Zubrus $3.4M, his biggest mistake I think never retooling his defensive core.

Yeah, what was funny is when he finally decided to pull Ozzie we lost possession in the corner. I cannot believe that Hudler decided to pass the puck back when he had a clear shot to the net late in the 3rd. My jaw just dropped when that happened. Turnovers tonight killed the Wings. I am disappointed in Flips response to tonight's game. With Dats out he needs to be a go to guy but he isn't stepping up like he should/could.
